It's been so hot lately, I'm scared to go outside! I wish the cool weather would come soon!

August 5th was my birthday! I finally got a Dyson! (♡ ꒰ˆ. . ˆ ྀིྀིྀིྀིྀིྀིྀི꒱) Thank you to my husband for the gift, even though we both live on allowances!

I took a day off, and my husband took a half-day, so we went on a date for the first time in a while!

We wondered where to go, and ended up visiting the arboretum near our house, then headed to Haenggung-dong, and finally to our omakase reservation.

The entrance fee was 4,000 won, but half price for Suwon residents! While walking, we saw the Ilwol Reservoir next to it, and it looked so nice that we should visit next time.

The arboretum was bigger than I thought, and there was even a cafe inside. It would be nice to have a relaxing date there when the weather is nice. ☁️

I even brought a cute friend home from the arboretum!

Haenggung-dong 'Wooded Coffee'

As soon as I walked in, a cute friend greeted me!

We looked around a few accessory shops, passed by Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion, and went to dinner.

The omakase was so satisfying for the price! I enjoyed it so much.

You have to blow out the candles! It was the same cake as last year, which was kind of shocking!

August 7th

After my day shift, I went to the courthouse and then to Jeongdon in Gwanggyo!

We kept missing each other, so I received it like a carrot (market transaction)! My bouquet... It's so pretty!

August 9th

Made mentaiko mayo onigiri before my evening shift! But I forgot to put the seaweed on it!

August 11th

For dinner, my husband made lumpy rice balls and potato salad based on Jung Jae-hyung's recipe! We didn't really like the sour taste, so next time I should try making the sauce with a sweeter yogurt!

My husband finished work early, and the evening weather was so nice that day, so we casually went out and discussed the next budget and held a family meeting!

August 15th

One day while working evening shifts...

Making a mobile in the middle of the night!

August 19th

It's so hot, but the sky is so pretty these days. ☁️☁️☁️ We have to stay indoors though...

August 21st

My husband's birthday! I bought him a gift at Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo and went to eat Peking duck.

Since our birthdays are in the same month, it feels like we'll be eating a lot of delicious food this month!

'Pangyo Ururu'

If you make a reservation in advance, you can use a quiet room, and valet parking is free, which was so convenient and nice!

Still, it's a birthday, so we have to blow out the candles! I secretly bought a slice of cake the day before and we blew out the candles.

The cute bear is now in a flowerpot!

August 22nd

One day, Marimo rice ball!

August 23-24

I went to Ozeje with my high school friends. It's as delicious as Jeongdon! So tender...

The next day, I saw a goods keyboard at the National Museum of Korea. It's expensive and sold out, but so pretty.

It was a fun gathering, but... I think I was stressed without realizing it because of my busy schedule + presentation + training these days, so after the gathering, my heart felt so tangled and I couldn't untangle it. I hated myself for that, and I broke down in front of my husband...

These days are inevitable, but I'm glad my husband was there...

In September, I hope I don't torment myself! I hope I can live with more and more happiness and joy!

Real Korea, Curated for Global Travelers

WassupKorea is a next-generation platform designed for foreigners who want to truly experience Korea — not just as tourists, but as locals. While countless Koreans have shared their daily lives, food experiences, and cultural tips through blogs, videos, and social media, much of this valuable content remains locked behind language barriers. WassupKorea solves this by collecting and curating high-quality local content and making it accessible to global audiences through real-time AI-powered translation. Instead of superficial recommendations, users gain access to authentic, first-hand stories — from hidden street food spots to weekend mountain hikes — written by Koreans for Koreans, now reinterpreted for the world.

AI-Powered Personalization, Translation, and Voice Interaction

What sets WassupKorea apart is its deep integration of artificial intelligence at the core of the platform. AI matches users with personalized content based on their language, nationality, and travel interests. Whether you're looking for vegan Korean food in Jeonju or part-time job tips in Seoul, the platform's smart engine brings the most relevant, timely posts to the forefront. Every piece of content — blog summaries, local guides, user comments — is instantly translated using advanced AI translators. Users can also listen to posts via natural-sounding voice AI in their own language. Real-time voice translation in community chats allows for live conversations between users from different countries. With voice synthesis, AI can even "learn" your voice preferences to create a more natural and immersive experience.

A Living Community Driven by Local Content and Global Connection

WassupKorea is more than just an information portal — it’s an AI-driven community hub that grows smarter as users interact. Travelers and residents alike can share their own content via links from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, or directly post on the platform. AI categorizes the content, suggests similar posts, and connects users with shared interests. Foreigners living in Korea can also access essential resources like visa tips, rental guides, job listings, and lifestyle hacks. As more content is generated and more interactions occur, the AI refines its recommendations — creating a dynamic feedback loop that benefits every user. WassupKorea bridges the gap between Korea’s deep local knowledge and the global audience eager to explore it, forming a smart, multilingual, and inclusive platform for everyone curious about life in Korea.
