A Day Trip to Jamsil: Lotte World, Aquarium, and Delicious Eats!

This September, Hyokkung and I explored Jamsil for our monthly trip! ✨
Last year, after having a blast at Everland, we promised ourselves, “Next year, we HAVE to go to Lotte World!” And finally, September is the month! ㅎㅎ
Our jam-packed one-night, two-day course: Lotte World ✨ → Aquarium ✨ → Rakoz ✨ → Olive Tree ✨♀️ → Sarijeong ✨

You might wonder why a scaredy-cat who can't ride any rides went to an amusement park… but for me, amusement parks are just a place to eat churros + beaded ice cream! (+ take photos✨)
To cut to the chase… Lotte World was a bit disappointing.
Oh, but the collaboration merch was super cute ✨ This bag is still on my mind ✨
However, both Hyokkung and I have severe allergies, so after being inside for a bit, we got headaches and our noses started running like crazy 🤧 Getting outside helped a bit, but the mix of stagnant water and food smells was a little tough.
Still, you gotta have a churro when you come to an amusement park! We also munched on School Food’s Mozzarella Spam Egg Mari, BHC Colpop, and Paul Bassett’s Iced Americano ✌️
We also took some 인생네컷 (life four-cut) photos, but the employee was so unfriendly, it was a bit unpleasant 😒 You go to amusement parks to have fun, but they were so soulless and their tone was curt 😒 Still, we managed to get some good pictures! ㅎㅎ
But it wasn't fun enough to stay longer, so we left at 2 PM – The End. And we had day passes… Next time, maybe we'll go to Seoul Land? ✨
✨ Lotte World Aquarium

But we had another course lined up! The aquarium! It was collaborating with Sanrio, so we were even more excited to go.
I think Hangyodong was the perfect fit!! Next was Cinnamoroll!! There are so many cute and amazing creatures!!!! I was amazed, so how much more would the kids' eyes sparkle? ✨ And there are a lot of experience programs, so kids can stay even longer. Perfect for summers when outdoor activities are tough, or for winter and rainy days! Highly recommend for indoor dates/activities, especially if you come with children. ✨✨✨✨

🅿️ Parking: Twin Lake Palace Ville Parking Tower (parking ticket provided)
We have to have at least one proper meal! Pig's shank!! Isn't that something new? Rakoz was immediately chosen because of the shank! ✨️ The cooking time is long, so reservations are a must if you want to eat the Prague Koleno!! Prague Koleno → 100% worth the reservation. An upgraded version of jokbal (pork trotters) ✨ Shrimp Aglio e Olio → Perfectly seasoned and plenty of shrimp (🦐🦐🦐🦐🦐🦐🦐🦐)
It was a completely satisfying dinner! If you're a party of two like us, order the pasta + koleno combo. The portions are perfect ✨

The last stop of the day was a massage at Olive Tree! They have couple's rooms, so you can go in together, and they also offer focused care on the areas you want.
Hyokkung got mainly leg massage, and I focused on my shoulders. They really pinpointed the sore spots and relieved them. They kept checking if the pressure was okay, so I was satisfied ✨
If you're planning to stay overnight after going to Lotte World, I highly recommend massage as the last course!
✨ Sarijeong (Seokchon Lake Branch)
⏰ Hours: 11:00 ~ 21:00 (Closed Mondays)
🅿️ Parking: 2~3 cars can park in front of the store
For lunch the next day, I went to Sarijeong's Seokchon Lake branch because my favorite noodle restaurant in Irwon-dong also opened near Seokchon Lake ✨
We each ordered Gogi-guksu (meat noodle soup) + 1 piece of Geoljak-mandu (masterpiece dumpling). I ate the dumpling on its own and also dipped it in the soup, and it was delicious no matter how I ate it ✨✨ The Gogi-guksu is filled with lots of vegetables and meat, so you can't help but be satisfied!!!
If you want more, you can add noodles/rice for free (but the portion is so big that I couldn't add any more… I'm sad…). Finally, you can cleanse your palate with the yogurt they give you at the end. End!
If you want a hearty and healthy meal, I highly recommend it✨ Oh! The owner is really friendly too✨
It was a truly fulfilling ✨September Jamsil trip✨
We had a baseball game at Munhak Stadium the next day, so we went to Lotte World and the aquarium on the first day, but if you ride rides well and the weather is nice, I also recommend the course of playing at Lotte World for a long time on the first day → relieving fatigue with a massage → healing at the aquarium the next day ✨♀️
Every month, I go around with Hyokkung, and I feel like we're slowly learning our own travel style✨ Still, it was a trip that took care of everything to eat, see, and enjoy✨
To Hyokkung, who diligently took care of me for two days, I give you an infinite heart of gratitude. I'll be back in October with the Busan edition of the monthly trip (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)وᰔ
