Exploring Fortnite's Expanded Universe: Ballistic and Brick Life Modes

Hello everyone,
This is influencer Park Han-ryang.
Fortnite, which was released in Korea in 2018, has been loved by many users for adding various modes, including the Battle Royale mode. Users can create their own modes, and it is said that over 190,000 modes have been created so far. Creators can even receive huge financial benefits by creating islands in Fortnite. As of 2024, the total revenue earned by island creators from Epic Games is reportedly $352 million. In addition to user-created modes, I quickly enjoyed the two modes, Ballistic and Brick Life, which were recently released in Korea through an expanded launch.
With the expanded release of Fortnite on mobile and PC, I was able to play a variety of modes. There were so many modes, including Ballistic, Brick Life, Reload, Odyssey, Build Zero, Rocket Racing, and Team Deathmatch. The modes I played were Ballistic and Brick Life. Ballistic is a 5v5 FPS mode, but Brick Life feels like an open-world RPG, so it feels like the same game but with different charms.
First, let's play Fortnite's expanded launch Ballistic. I enjoyed playing on PC, but it is mostly available on platforms that support Fortnite, such as consoles and mobile, so you can enjoy it wherever you like to play. You can think of it as a 5:5 battle with a total of 10 players, and after 6 rounds of playing with attack and defense structures, you switch between attack and defense to continue playing.
The defending team has to dismantle the structures installed by the attacking team, so you should gather together at first and move quickly after the point is opened. Since it is a round-based play, there is no resurrection, and the game is played in a way that you win by exploding the installed structure or eliminating all the opponents. Therefore, the team that wins 7 rounds first ultimately wins, so you can satisfy one of the two conditions first.
Round 1 is played with a pistol, but from round 2, you can purchase weapons and equipment before the round starts. Since you have to fight against the opposing team, accuracy in shooting is very important, and tactical play is important. It is usually advantageous for 2-3 people to move and attack at the same time, and it can be disadvantageous if 1 person goes separately, so if you like playing authentic FPS, Ballistic mode will be the most fun to enjoy.

Next, let's play Fortnite Brick Life. Unlike the FPS mode you saw earlier, you play in an open-world RPG genre, so it's fun to first prepare a space to live in and gradually grow through actual part-time jobs. It proceeds in an open-world social role-playing style that can accommodate up to 32 people, and it is also fun to find various jobs, such as greeting town residents or getting jobs by talking to NPCs.
All menus can be checked through your smartphone, and you can use the income earned through jobs to buy a house and decorate the interior. There are a total of 16 jobs in Brick Life, but you should start with a part-time job and gradually accumulate wealth. To increase bricks, you basically need to complete quests and do various job activities. It's a game suitable for those who usually like housing play.

I actually played it once, and it was very interesting because it reminded me of when I used to work part-time when I was young. The place I played was a hamburger restaurant part-time job, where I could take out potatoes and salt from the refrigerator and make french fries through the oven and sell them to real customers to earn income. It is a very attractive mode because you can experience a life-style experience in advance and freely explore the city, so have fun.
The expanded version of 'Fortnite' is finally officially applied in Korea, and you can play various modes and content in various environments. After trying it myself, the immersion and fun are definitely doubled, so I am really enjoying playing it!
If you are interested in revenue, you can become a creator through the Fortnite Unreal Editor and experience other fun, so if you haven't started yet, you can create a game of your favorite genre, so if you haven't started yet, feel free to enjoy it.
