Yoran Izakaya in Samseong-dong, Gangnam: Delicious Aged Sashimi and Private Rooms!

Gangnam
With the weather getting cooler, I've been craving a cold beer after work.
Feeling reluctant to go straight home, I visited Yoran Izakaya in Samseong-dong.
Yoran is an izakaya near Samseong Jungang Station that has private rooms. They offer a variety of delicious dishes, including White Fish with Sea Cucumber Guts (Shiromi Konowada), Bluefin Tuna Belly Sashimi, Sea Urchin (Uni), Seasonal Assorted Sashimi, Grilled Crab Brain (Kanimiso Yaki), Uni Trio, Simmered Sea Bream Head, and hot pot dishes like Nagasaki Champon and Seafood Nurungji Tang. They even have Truffle Chadol Jjapagetti, which is great for a meal.
With its cozy Japanese-style interior and soft lighting, Izakaya Yoran offers a quiet and enjoyable atmosphere for conversation.
From the bar seating to the tables and private rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people, it's a great place to relax with a drink with your partner or friends.
Since there's no room charge, it's also a good place to visit in groups for company dinners. If you're looking for a great place to eat in Samseong-dong, be sure to visit.
Izakaya Yoran is located near Exit 1 of Samseong Jungang Station. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the building, but the space is limited, so if you need parking, it's best to call in advance.
The interior had a distinct Japanese izakaya atmosphere, with bar seating and tables available.
Thanks to the soft lighting, cherry blossom trees, and hanging lanterns, the atmosphere was great.
They also had Jinro's 100th Anniversary Edition premium distilled soju, 1924, on display, which is great for gifting. It looked so pretty, so I took a picture!
Corkage is available for a fee, so keep that in mind.
They have private rooms that can accommodate 4 people and rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people.
Each room has its own air conditioner that can be adjusted, making it a great place for company dinners or group gatherings near Samseong Jungang Station.
There is no separate room charge, and you can use the private room if you order at least one premium soju or sake per group of four, which I thought was pretty good.
They also have a seasonal assorted sashimi for one person, and the assorted sashimi for two people is also reasonably priced at 54,000 won.
I was debating whether to order the Uni Trio Special, which is sea urchin, scallops, sweet shrimp, salmon roe, and avocado wrapped in seaweed, or the sashimi. The staff recommended the seasonal assorted sashimi, so I ordered that.

They had Heineken and Kirin draft beer, so I ordered one of each. The draft beer had a rich and smooth foam!
It was so refreshing and delicious with the shrimp chips that came as a basic side dish.
A platter of high-quality sashimi was served, including tuna, abalone, sea bream, octopus, flounder, sweet shrimp, and red sea bream.

The sashimi was plated so beautifully that it looked incredibly delicious.
The sashimi had a chewy and firm texture.

The salmon melted in my mouth as soon as I put it in, and when I dipped it in soy sauce and a little wasabi, the natural flavor of the sashimi really came alive.
The highlight of the day was the tuna belly.

I thought that even these three pieces were worth around 20,000 won.
The thickly sliced tuna belly felt like cream melting in my mouth.

I put a generous amount of wasabi on it and took a bite, and the rich, oily flavor and subtle sweetness made me applaud involuntarily.
In addition, there were sweet shrimp that were great to eat and sea bream with a smoky flavor.

It was the perfect way to end the day with generous and tender sashimi and a refreshing draft beer.
If you're looking for a great izakaya in Samseong-dong, try visiting Yoran.
I enjoyed the meal today.
