Udaeok Sadang Main Branch: A Premium Korean BBQ Experience in Seoul

A few days ago, I visited Udaeok, a Korean BBQ restaurant near Sadang Station that my colleagues and I had been wanting to try. I can confidently recommend this place as the beef was so flavorful that it made us exclaim in admiration with every bite.
Address: 1st Floor, 15-17 Bangbaecheonro 4-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul
Operating Hours: 16:00 - 23:30 (Closed on Sundays)
Udaeok Sadang Main Branch, which I visit frequently, is located about a 5-minute walk from Exit 11 of Sadang Station. With its white sign and luxurious gold lettering, it's easy to spot even for first-time visitors.
Please note that the operating hours are from 4 PM to 11:30 PM, and it is closed on Sundays, so keep that in mind before visiting.
Since there is no dedicated parking lot, drivers can use the nearby Sadang Station public parking lot.
The restaurant is close to the station and the parking fee isn't too expensive, so even large groups coming for company dinners won't find it too burdensome.
I liked that I could check the menu before entering. There were three types of meat, and I decided to order the Udaeok Flower Rib, which particularly caught my eye.
The interior was luxurious and made me excited. The spacious area provided a pleasant dining environment.
When I arrived at my seat, it was neatly set up. The sparkling marble table also confirmed the cleanliness of the place.
I didn't hesitate to order the Udaeok Flower Rib as the main dish, and I quickly participated in the receipt review event to get a free bottle of soju.
Soon, the basic side dishes were served, and the quality of the refreshing and tangy side dishes that paired well with the meat was exceptional.
The seaweed soup and beef tataki provided per person were also impressive. The seaweed soup, in particular, had a deep and rich flavor that would be perfect for a birthday meal.
The Udae Galbi, marinated in a light sauce, was pre-cooked in the pre-cooking room. I could see the process through the glass window, which increased my trust in the restaurant.
The pre-cooked Flower Ribs were truly beautiful, like flowers. My eyes were drawn to the heavy flesh attached to the bone.
You don't have to worry about how to grill the meat here. That's because they provide a grilling service.
Being able to taste the best meat with the best service was the perfect combination. The savory aroma filled my nose, and I couldn't help but salivate.
First, they placed a piece of perfectly cooked meat on each of our plates. I was touched by their attentiveness, and the only word that came to mind was "superb."
Then, they stacked the meat on the rib to prevent it from overcooking. I thanked the staff member who finished grilling and started eating in earnest.
The burst of juice with every bite made me smile. I enjoyed the diverse flavors by utilizing the various side dishes.
The quality of the side dishes and sauces was excellent, which made the meal even more satisfying. There was no time to get bored with the various combinations.
The meat sauce made in-house was no exception. It was perfect for neutralizing the greasiness of the beef.
Moreover, I didn't miss the small pieces of meat attached to the rib. They were perfectly trimmed in the kitchen, which showed their excellent service.
As expected, the texture was much chewier, and it was so fun to chew that it became a delicacy.
The perilla leaf yukhoe (beef tartare) that I additionally ordered was a great choice. I've had regular yukhoe many times, but the perilla leaf was the real highlight.
The slightly rough perilla leaf made the texture and taste much richer. Of course, the most important thing, the yukhoe, was also excellent without any gamey or fishy smell.
I enjoyed a light drink with the soju I got from the review event. Maybe it was because the food was so delicious, but even the alcohol tasted sweet.
I always think that fried rice is a must at a Korean BBQ restaurant. As expected, it exceeded my expectations.
Adding mozzarella cheese as a topping made it a perfect finishing dish that made me forget about being full. When I came to my senses, the pot was almost empty.
And for dessert, they served a bittersweet affogato. It felt like I had enjoyed an expensive course meal at a fancy dining restaurant.
With its spacious group seating, Udaeok is perfect for company dinners. I highly recommend Udaeok Sadang Main Branch, which has great taste, atmosphere, and service.
