The Haidilao Gold Quest (and a Bit of a Detour)
In the first half of 2025, I neglected Haidilao.
Demoted to Silver membership.
It means I spent my money on other delicious things and lived well.
But it still stings, so...
I decided to reclaim my Gold status!
Week 1: Haidilao Daehakro Branch
Unbelievably, they don't have EV charging.
I parked elsewhere, but parking was so expensive that I decided to eat within an hour.
I'm really into tomato soup base lately.
Successfully ate quickly and efficiently!
Week 2: Haidilao Jeju Branch
I went because they opened a branch in Jeju, but there were so many Chinese people. Yeondong (area in Jeju) is basically China. No need to actually go to China! lol
Week 3: No Haidilao. Went to Haohao Steamboat (카오하오스탠). It's Hao Kao Stan (하오카오스탠)! Waited 70 minutes because I didn't make a reservation. Are you kidding me?
Just going to Haidilao next time.
Week 4: Haidilao Konkuk University Branch
Went to Jaraseom to see Kim Yeon-woo (singer), then rushed to Konkuk University to make my reservation time. Braved the rain with the determination to eat Haidilao!
Mmm, delicious.

But I don't think I'll be able to reclaim Gold.
Because I don't have any Haidilao plans for the time being.
