Sumikatsu: Authentic Japanese Tonkatsu in Ilsan!

Hello everyone! This is Eunah Soo!
Today, I'm excited to introduce Sumikatsu Tonkatsu, the main branch in Ilsan, where you can enjoy authentic Japanese-style tonkatsu!
I'm a big fan of tonkatsu and always on the lookout for great restaurants.
This place is especially famous for its hirekatsu (pork fillet cutlet) and roskatsu (pork loin cutlet) fried in the traditional Japanese way!
I especially come here for the Dry-Aged Rice Straw Smoked Black Premium Loin Katsu...!!!!!!

Restaurant Atmosphere
Sumikatsu Ilsan Main Branch feels like a small tonkatsu restaurant directly transported from Japan.
Thanks to the warm lighting and wooden interior, it has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
The tables are also spaced far apart, making it great for families, friends, or even enjoying Japanese tonkatsu alone.
The moment you step inside, you'll feel like you're in a small restaurant in Japan, making it perfect for relaxing, eating, and taking pictures.

How to Enjoy Your Tonkatsu
1. Dip lightly in the sauce → Maximizes the crispiness of the fried batter and the flavor of the black pork.
2. Eat half of it as is without sauce → Experience the unique savory taste and juiciness of the black pork.
3. Combine with curry → A fantastic harmony of crispy tonkatsu and rich curry!
Katsu (Cutlet)
1. Try the first piece with just two drops of perilla oil and salt.
2. Next, try it with white wasabi or green wasabi.
3. Put chopped kimchi or pickled vegetables on the katsu.
4. Choose your favorite homemade Western-style sauce or Bulldog sauce, or mix them together.

Katsudon (Cutlet Rice Bowl)
1. Transfer the katsu to the provided side plate.
2. Mix the rice and special sauce underneath.
* Please eat the mixed rice and katsu separately.
There's a mechanical parking lot next to the building!
Park as instructed by the staff, get a parking ticket, and ask them to validate it after your meal!
Very large vehicles won't fit due to the mechanical parking system. Please keep this in mind.

The restaurant atmosphere was cozy, allowing me to slowly enjoy my meal and fully appreciate the charm of Japanese tonkatsu.
It's also pretty for taking pictures, and it's great to come and share with friends.
