Recommended for: Those who don't want to grill, those looking for a new Isu Station restaurant, and groups who want a convenient get-together
Restaurant Exterior
When you search for "restaurants near Isu Station," Sot Gojip Sadang always comes up.
The restaurant is located on Sadang-ro, so it wasn't hard to find, and it was quite large, occupying both the first and second floors.
There was a wait, probably because it was dinner time.
It's clearly a popular spot, with many people waiting in line. The smell of grilling meat made me hungry while waiting.

Interior & Atmosphere
The clean interior is the first thing you notice when you walk inside.
Often, Korean BBQ places have sticky floors or greasy tables,
but this place felt new, tidy, and clean.
The seating was spacious, so you didn't feel cramped next to other tables.
Most of all, the staff was constantly checking on tables, which made me think, "The service is great and friendly."

Menu
The menu's main item is definitely the sliced pork belly.
They also had other cuts like ribs and pork shoulder, and set menus made it easy to choose whether you're dining with one other person or with a group.
The side dishes included fried rice, soybean paste stew, and other great dishes to enjoy with drinks.
The prices weren't bad, considering they grill the meat for you.
✔ What I Ordered
Sot Gojip Sliced Pork Belly Set for 2 (₩42,600)
Fried Rice (₩3,500)
Iced Draft Beer (₩4,500)
Total: ₩50,600

Side Dishes
The side dishes are nicely presented!
There's also a self-serve bar, so you can get more of what you need.
✔ Sot Gojip Sliced Pork Belly Set for 2 (420g of Pork Belly)
I ordered the Sot Gojip Sliced Pork Belly Set for 2, along with fried rice and iced draft beer.
(But as you can see...it's not sliced,,, Did they forget?ㅜ.ㅜ)
Just the must-have course at a pork belly place.
The pork belly was quite thick, as the name suggests.

Usually, grilling thick pork belly yourself can be difficult, and it's easy to lose all the juices...
But here, the staff grills it for you from start to finish, so there's no pressure.
You can just chat and wait.
From the moment the pork belly is placed on the cast iron lid and the oil starts sizzling, the visual satisfaction is amazing.
Usually, grilling on a metal plate makes the meat too crispy, but here, it's cooked almost like it's fried in oil, so the outside is crispy and the inside is juicy.
The menu name is 'Sliced Pork Belly,' but the slices were barely visible, which was a little disappointing.
Visible slices would have made it softer to chew... so that part was a little less satisfying.
But! The staff handles everything from grilling to cutting to setting it up perfectly, so the convenience makes up for everything.

It's not just the meat that's delicious.
You can enjoy different combinations by grilling the water parsley, kimchi, and scallion salad that come with the meat on the cast iron lid.
Various Ways to Enjoy Samgyeopsal!!!
Adding the water parsley on top of the pork belly reduces the greasiness and adds a fragrant flavor.

✔ Perfect Fried Rice
When you're about to finish the meat, the staff comes back to prepare the fried rice.

Honestly, all Korean BBQ fried rice is delicious, right? But this fried rice had perfect visual presentation.
They sprinkled seaweed flakes, sesame oil, and even drew a heart on top of the rice... These thoughtful touches made me feel even better.
The flavor? No need to say more. The fried rice soaked in pork oil was, of course, savory and rich.
Complimentary Injeolmi Ice Cream
And the grand finale was the complimentary ice cream!
The staff brought us Injeolmi ice cream when we were almost done with the fried rice.
Apparently, it's 'Joanna Ice Cream' topped with Injeolmi powder and almond slices. It was sweet and nutty, perfect as a dessert.
The taste is SOSO,,,
I was originally planning to go to Sulbing after the meal, but this was enough, so I just went home ㅎㅎ.

TMI
The pork belly is from Korea!!
The chili powder in the kimchi is from China!!

<Overall Review>

If you hesitated to go to pork belly restaurants because you don't want to grill, you can just sit and eat here.
Sot Gojip Sadang is a new cast iron lid pork belly restaurant near Isu Station where the staff grills everything from the pork belly to the fried rice.
There were some slightly disappointing points, but overall, the combination of service, atmosphere, and taste makes it worth a visit.
