The Taiwan Tourism Bureau invited singer Kyuhyun to Seoul, Yeouido, to host the ‘2025 New TVC Premiere’ and announce its new tourism promotion plan.

This year’s campaign theme is ‘See You Again, Taiwan!’, and a promotional video starring Kyuhyun, the Taiwan Tourism Ambassador, was unveiled.

Following the success of last year's campaign, Kyuhyun was re-appointed as the tourism ambassador this year to convey the charm of Taiwan's sentimental travel destinations to Korea.

Kyuhyun attended the event to share his memories of Taiwan and talk about his most memorable travel destinations and food.

The Tourism Bureau, in collaboration with Kyuhyun, has produced a total of four new videos for Korean tourists, including night running in Taipei, surfing and hot spring experiences on the northern coast, traditional breakfast in the south, and a forest train and tea plantation tour in Alishan.

The video features the concept of a friend's invitation, with a local Taiwanese friend inviting Kyuhyun, a Korean friend, on a trip to explore local Taiwan and enjoy its emotional atmosphere.

Kuo Sheng-You, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's Seoul Office, said, “Through this storytelling, we hope that Korean consumers will recognize Taiwan as a ‘desirable travel destination’ and ‘a place they want to visit again.’”

Singer Kyuhyun said, “I am happy to be appointed as the ambassador again. I knew Taiwan mainly through Taipei, but the Alishan Forest Railway was very memorable, and the pot udon I had in Tainan was the ‘best hangover food’ of my life.”

Special Moment

He added, “I have a schedule for opening a Taiwan Tourism Bureau pop-up store and experiencing local culture. Super Junior's 20th-anniversary tour will also be held in Taiwan, so I’m even more excited.”

The Tourism Bureau plans to open the ‘O’Siong Tea House,’ a pop-up store combining traditional Taiwanese tea culture and modern sensibility, in the Seongsu-dong area of Seoul at the end of October.

In addition, it plans to continue various promotional activities in Korea through Taiwanese beef noodle cooking classes, whiskey events, and marine tourism promotion events.
