Jeju Airport Restaurant Review

Sichungguttaegeujip Jeju City Hall Branch Kimchi Stew Review

Hello!!

Today, I'm excited to share a special lunch experience I had with my family during our trip to Jeju Island.

When you're traveling, you often find yourself wondering, 'Where should we eat?'

Especially when you're near Jeju Airport, either just arriving or waiting for your flight, it's great to have a place where you can enjoy delicious local food.

After much deliberation, we chose Sichungguttaegeujip Jeju City Hall Branch. Since it was summer, we were craving something cool and soupy, but also wanted some meat, so we decided on kimchi stew and a side of naengmyeon (cold noodles).

What made this place unique was the self-service unlimited fried eggs and myeongi namul (pickled garlic leaves). I found these little perks to be a lot of fun on our trip! Am I the only one who enjoys these small things? 😉

Shall we take a closer look?

Let me introduce you to my review of Sichungguttaegeujip Jeju City Hall Branch, a great restaurant near Jeju Airport.

Sichungguttaegeujip Jeju City Hall Branch is located in a residential alley. It's a one-story building with a large sign, making it easy to spot from a distance.

Jeju Airport Restaurant Interior

The interior was bright and clean, which made it comfortable for a family visit.

There were many tables for 2-4 people, making it a good place for small gatherings or company dinners. There were also various event announcements on the walls, which were fun to look at.

The most noticeable thing was the 'self-service bar'!

You could fry your own eggs and refill side dishes like myeongi namul, salad, and kimchi.

It's not often you get to fry your own eggs at a restaurant, is it? The kids were fascinated and enjoyed it.

Jeju Airport Restaurant Menu

The main menu includes meat dishes like black pork belly, pork neck, and pork belly, as well as kimchi stew and white pork sets.

During lunchtime, the kimchi stew is particularly popular. It's reasonably priced at ₩10,000 and comes in generous portions, making it great value for money.

I ordered the kimchi stew that day. Since it was summer, I also ordered naengmyeon (cold noodles) because I wanted something refreshing.

Jeju Airport Restaurant Ordered Menu and Taste

The kimchi stew was filled with Jeju pork and well-aged kimchi, giving it a deep and rich broth. There was also a generous amount of meat, so the broth alone was satisfying. The plentiful toppings made it even more enjoyable.

The savory flavor of the aged kimchi and the savory taste of the pork went well together.

With every bite, I thought, "Ah, that was a good choice!"

The naengmyeon was a great palate cleanser after the meat and stew. It was a perfect choice for summer.

And you can't forget the self-service fried eggs!

I half-cooked the yolks and ate them with the kimchi stew, which was a perfect match. These little things added to my overall satisfaction.

1. You can order kimchi stew as a single item for lunch, making it a great light meal.

2. Be sure to take advantage of the self-service bar, where you can enjoy unlimited fried eggs, myeongi namul, and other side dishes.

3. After your meal, they also offer desserts like sikhye (sweet rice drink). It's a great way to cool down in the summer.

4. It's much easier to use the nearby public parking lot than parking in front of the restaurant.

Looking for a pension with a swimming pool?

Sichungguttaegeujip Jeju City Hall Branch was a place where I could feel the warmth of home-cooked meals and enjoy small pleasures during my trip.

To summarize:

• It's easily accessible near Jeju Airport.

• A bowl of kimchi stew is a hearty meal.

• You can enjoy both fun and satisfaction with self-service fried eggs and unlimited side dishes.

• Naengmyeon is a refreshing addition in the summer.

• There's a reason why it's consistently loved by both travelers and office workers.

If you're thinking, "I want a hearty and well-prepared meal" during your trip, I highly recommend visiting this place. It's close to Jeju Airport, making it easy to stop by before or after your flight, and it's a place where people of all ages can enjoy themselves, making it great for family visits.
