Shagnel 18: A Delicious and Convenient Personal Shabu-Shabu Experience near Jangsang Station

Located near Exit 3 of Jangsang Station!
Operating Hours: 11:30 AM - 9:00 PM (Closed every Sunday)
I revisited Shagnel 18, a personal shabu-shabu restaurant I used to frequent when I worked nearby!
You can find it on the first floor of the Daeseung Plaza building in Jangsang.
Just navigate through the cars, and you'll see the entrance.
They keep the AC blasting, so the windows are often fogged up. I remember it being super warm inside during winter.
The restaurant has a U-shaped table arrangement centered around the kitchen.
The transparent dividers can be moved to accommodate different group sizes.
Perfect for solo dining! No awkwardness here.
There's a clothing rack available. Not really needed in the summer, but it was a lifesaver for storing coats in winter!
Aprons are self-service! (Apparently, they also provide hair ties for women upon request)
Here's the menu and some information about Shagnel 18. I ordered the lunch special and chose the egg porridge for the final course!
(Includes: Vegetables + Meat + Noodles/Porridge)
They even provide phone stands for solo diners!!
I don't usually use my phone while eating, but it would be super useful for those who like to watch YouTube or something.
Each seat is equipped with three different personal sauces to choose from!
(Chili / Soy Sauce / Peanut)
After ordering, they bring out the pot and the ingredients for the final course first.
And here's the star of the show: the shabu-shabu! The portion is so generous; I wasn't sure if I could finish it all. (Spoiler alert: I did!)
First, I added the vegetables to the broth... (Looks delicious already!)
Then, I added the meat and dipped everything in my favorite sauce. So good!
Time to prepare the egg porridge for the grand finale!
It looks so delicious... (The egg porridge is amazing, but the process is a bit of a hassle. If you're looking for something easier, I recommend the noodles!)
Unfortunately, the final result of the egg porridge looked too messy to photograph...
But it was delicious until the very last bite!
For those looking for a shabu-shabu place near Haeundae Station or Jangsang Station, I highly recommend Shagnel 18!
It's clean, quiet, and the owner is very friendly!!
Solo dining is great, but it's also perfect for visiting with friends or a partner!
