Sammi Restaurant: Gwangju's Best Fried Rice (and More!)

⭐⭐⭐ Sammi Restaurant
1. Seriously Delicious!
2. Gwangju's Best Fried Rice
* Authentic, fluffy Chinese-style fried rice
* Reminds me of Oksenggwan in Busan

3. Exterior
(1) The old, weathered sign used to be cool, but it's been changed
(2) I asked the owner and apparently,
They applied for and won a free sign replacement through a "Good Store" program.
* Many customers are said to miss the old sign, haha
(3) Located near the Dong-gu Office
4. Interior
* A small, old-fashioned eatery
5. Menu
6. Information
* Only open until 3 PM
7. Table Setting

8. Sweet and Sour Pork (Tangsuyuk) ⭐⭐⭐
* The sweet and sour pork is also amazing!
* Sweet. Has a unique flavor specific to Sammi Restaurant
* Delicious sauce

9. Fried Rice ⭐⭐⭐
(1) Seriously!
* First time having authentic fried rice like this in Gwangju
* The seasoning is just right, not too strong
(2) The rice is really well-fried
* It would be even better if they served the fried egg separately
* Does the egg on top kind of steam the well-fried rice?
* Take the egg off to the side as soon as it comes out
(3) The black bean sauce (Jjajang) is not great
(4) I prefer the egg drop soup over the spicy seafood noodle soup (Jjamppong)

10. Table Setting for One, haha

11. Leftovers to Go
(1) I took the bus to get some cardio in!
(2) I was only going to eat fried rice, but then I smelled the sweet and sour pork from the next table!
(3) They neatly tied up the
black plastic bag, and I happily strolled back
* It was the Chungjang Festival, so there were a lot of people
* They probably thought I was a Baemin (delivery app) rider, haha
(4) Even if you're alone, I recommend ordering both
* And packing up the leftovers
* No regrets. I ate really well
