Ristorante Conte: A Fine Dining Experience Near Seokchon Lake

Hello! ๐
Today, I'd like to introduce you to Ristorante Conte, a renowned restaurant near Seokchon Lake. :-)
If you're looking for a fine dining experience with a great atmosphere in Jamsil, or a restaurant to celebrate a special anniversary, this is the place I highly recommend!
Here, you can savor Italian course meals created by Chef Lim Tae-woo, who boasts a Michelin 2-star background.
I was impressed by the kind explanations of each dish, the generous portions for the price, and the delicious flavors. :)
So, let's start the review!
The location is easily accessible, about 400m from Seokchon Ancient Tombs Station.
Seokchon Lake is also very close, making it perfect for a date or a walk before or after your meal.
Upon entering, I noticed the airline tickets, Italian flags, and origin labels displayed, creating a unique ambiance.
The concept is 'Italian Travel,' and it was lovely to experience the atmosphere of being on vacation, rather than just enjoying a meal.
The interior features a green color scheme, and the lighting on each table created a lovely atmosphere.
It would be a great place for a date or a gathering!
The open kitchen allows you to watch the chefs preparing the dishes, which kept me entertained while waiting for the food.
The passport and Rome-bound airline ticket placed at each seat add to the fun details!
Both my friend and I, who are avid travelers, found it very enjoyable even before the meal started!
Inside the passport, you'll find a simple greeting, followed by the order of the dishes and their descriptions.
While the dishes are explained to you, you can read more about them, which was nice.
It was also helpful to see what dish was coming next.
They even provide a pen so you can freely write down your impressions of the food!
After enjoying a fine dining experience, it's easy to forget the flavors over time, but writing down a few notes helps preserve the memory. Hehe
Welcome Dish - Benvenuti
The meal begins with three bite-sized welcome dishes.
The chef explained that we should start with the one on the far right:
Piedmontese Peppernello
Tuscan Mushroom Conciglie
Sicilian Melanzane
And eat them in that order.
The first dish was adorable and colorful!
It's ricotta cheese wrapped in peeled bell pepper.
The second was conciglie pasta filled with mushroom puree.
The last dish consisted of eggplant, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce.
Eating them in order, the flavors gradually became more stimulating,
awakening my appetite and preparing me for the dishes to come.
Baccalร - Anti Pasta 1
I welcomed the Baccalร with an excited mood.
It tasted like fried cod, but it was very tender.
I loved the plating with the red cherry tomatoes and yellow petals!
We didn't order wine separately, but they asked if the food was too greasy and gave us this service!
My friend, who loves wine, said it was delicious and that it definitely tasted better with wine!
I was also touched by how they delicately asked if the food was to my liking throughout the meal! ใ ใ !
Seared Scallops - Anti pasta 2
Next was a seared scallop dish with smooth cauliflower puree, radicchio, and caviar.
It's a dish from the Veneto region, which is famous for seafood.
The tender yet chewy scallops were delicious.
Mussel Chittara Pasta - Primi 1
The next dish was a mussel pasta made with Apulian-style squid ink chittara noodles.
It was really delicious!
The previous dishes were soft and could be a bit rich, but
the sauce with vegetable stock added a refreshing taste that was just perfect!
Carrot Pasta - Primi 2
Next up was a sweet and savory dish.
Tuscan-style ravioli pasta, Tortello.
Eating the carrot puree inside with the salty butter sauce and shrimp
was a delightful combination of sweet and salty!
Saffron Risotto - Primi 3
This time, it's risotto.
It uses saffron, a high-end ingredient, and
includes tomato sauce, squid, and chimichurri sauce.
The main course hadn't come out yet, but the courses had been generous enough that I was getting full.
But it was too delicious to leave any ใ ใ
Halibut Steak - Secondi piatti 1
For the main course, you can choose one of halibut or lamb chops.
I chose both after paying an additional fee of about 20,000 won for the lamb chops so I could taste both.
It was really a good choice to taste both ใ
The two dishes are charming in different ways, and they're also good for sharing,
so if you have people with you, I think it's a good idea to choose one of the lamb chops and eat it together.
The halibut steak was really tender and moist.
I want to eat it again!
Lamb Chop Steak - Second piatti 2
And the lamb chops, which were such a great choice!
At first, I thought it was too rare
but it was so tender and delicious because it was cooked softly through sous vide ใ ใ !
Not chewy at all,,!
The sauce that came with it is really delicious,.,,
Watermelon Granita - Dolce 1
The watermelon granita came out when I was patting my stomach after tasting the various dishes.
It wasn't too sweet, but it was so refreshing and good for dessert.
Ricotta Cheesecake + Vanilla Milk Gelato
And it's not over!
Ricotta cheese cake made without flour and
Vanilla milk gelato came out as the last dessert.
They even put a candle on the cake
I think it would be great to visit on a date or anniversary!
I'll definitely visit again,,,!!
Even the bathroom was so clean, it was impressive!
If you are looking for a Seokchon Lake restaurant, Jamsil anniversary restaurant, or Seokchon Lake fine dining,
I highly recommend Ristorante Conte, where the atmosphere, taste, and service were all satisfactory!
+ Be sure to request a candle on your anniversary! Hehe
