Last week, I visited a highly recommended meat restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, known for its great value.

The menu featured a variety of options, from premium pork belly to sashimi and beef tartare, all of which met my expectations in terms of taste.

It seems to be a popular spot for special occasions and gatherings, as there were many customers.

1. Restaurant Overview

1) Location: Sangnam-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon

2) Open: Daily

3) Break Time: None

4) Seating: Accommodates up to 68 guests

There is parking available next to the building, with the first hour free.

The large sign with the restaurant's name was visible even from a distance, making it easy to spot, even late in the evening.

Upon entering, I noticed a sign indicating that they offer premium pork belly at reasonable prices.

They have set menus as well as individual dishes, desserts, and drinks, making it a popular choice for nearby office workers.

The restaurant was already packed, and I wondered why I hadn't visited this popular place sooner.

Throughout the restaurant, there were posters showcasing their pride in using Hanwoo beef, which added to my confidence in the quality of the food.

2. Self-Service Corner

The staff explained how to order, and we took a look at the menu.

There were many options available, so you can order as you wish. We started with beef tartare and ordered various cuts of pork neck.

There was a self-service bar where we could grab additional side dishes and vegetables as needed.

They offered several types of kimchi, including aged kimchi, radish salad, and green onion kimchi, which I particularly enjoyed.

The sweet corn macaroni salad was refreshing, and the white kimchi was cool and satisfying.

The large diced radish, pickled peppers, and various greens paired perfectly with the meat, and they even provided wasabi without being asked.

Finally, the meat arrived, including sirloin and brisket, with a rich, vibrant color and impressive marbling that made me eager to take photos.

It was a moment that made me realize why they take such pride in their meat.

The beef tartare could be paired with either gochujang (red pepper paste) or soy sauce; we chose soy sauce, which was perfectly seasoned.

It was fresh and moist, with no unpleasant smell, and we finished it quickly.

When grilling, coating the stone plate with oil prevented the meat from sticking and helped maintain its shape.

We started with brisket, and the intense heat cooked it quickly with a satisfying sizzle.

Even without sauce, it was not greasy and had a rich flavor that got better with each bite.

Pairing it with green onion salad surprisingly complemented it well, balancing the richness with a refreshing kick.

When I placed the sirloin on the grill, the size was substantial, filling the plate.

It was more delicious when cooked less than overcooked, so I focused on grilling it just right.

Eating it with pickled pepper was delightful, as it was not overly spicy but perfectly savory.

Worried about portion size, I found they provided generous servings, so I didn't need to order more.

Feeling slightly lacking, we decided to add a meal, and the soybean paste stew was hearty yet mild enough for kids.

It had plenty of meat, tofu, and vegetables, which we enjoyed mixed with rice.

The Hanwoo galbitang (beef rib soup) had a clear broth that was not salty and had no greasiness, making it easy to enjoy.

It was a rich broth, different from regular soup, which was refreshing and perfect for pairing with soju.

Adding some diced radish or aged kimchi made me feel warm and cozy.

For dessert, there were various options like ice cream, cocoa, barley tea, and coffee, all perfect for refreshing the palate.

After a drink and warm food, I chose ice cream to cleanse my palate.

4. Meat Evaluation

After finishing our meal, I noticed thoughtful touches like aprons, hair ties, and candies provided for customers.

This restaurant stands out for its attention to detail, and the taste and quality of the Hanwoo beef were exceptional, making it a place I truly enjoyed.

If you're looking for a meat restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, I highly recommend visiting this place.
