Recharging with Medicinal Cuisine at OK Neungi Village, Hoewon-dong!

Hello everyone! How are you enjoying your summer?
Lately, I've been feeling a bit drained.
Maybe it's the heat... or something else!
That's why I visited today's restaurant.
In a nutshell, I'd describe it like this:
It wasn't just food; it felt like medicine! ^^
Here's my review of a place that helped me regain my energy!
Address: 1st floor, 130, Shinheung-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do (Right in front of Beomgol Station Exit 1)
Hours: 11:00 - 21:00 (Last order 20:30) (Open during holidays)
(Seems perfect for family gatherings! There were many older patrons when I visited.)
Amenities: Available for groups/ Takeout/ Delivery/ Parking available (Separate mechanical parking lot)/ Reservations available
Directions:
We parked our car in the alley behind the restaurant.
There is a mechanical parking lot, but I don't prefer mechanical parking, so I parked on the side of the road!
(On a weekday evening, roadside parking was very easy!)
However, if you plan to have some drinks, it's best to use public transportation since it's right in front of Beomgol Station!
We arrived easily after passing through this short alley.
The sign is very clear, so anyone can easily find it!

Side Dishes/Restaurant Interior
As soon as we were seated, they quickly brought out the side dishes.
Since it takes a little while for the *baeksuk* (Korean chicken stew) to be prepared, it was nice to have something to eat beforehand!
Especially the salad! It seems perfect for blood sugar control.
(I recommend making a reservation if you want to receive the *baeksuk* right away! It took about 10-15 minutes for us.)
Our order for two people: Half order of Neungi Mushroom Duck *Baeksuk*!
The best thing about this place is that you can order a half portion instead of a whole duck!!!
I often hesitate because I want to eat nourishing food, but a whole portion is too much for two people!
We're relatively small eaters...
And it's often awkward to take leftovers home!
But here, they have half portions, which is perfect for two people (highly recommended!!)

Let's take a look around the restaurant while we wait!
They have a notice stating that they do not reuse the leftover broth!
As you can see, the restaurant doesn't recycle food, which I liked, and the interior was really clean!
It's the perfect style to bring elderly relatives!
They also give away Duck *Tteokgalbi* (grilled short rib patties) for receipt reviews.
We ordered it separately, but they're giving away an 8,000 won menu item for reviews, so I highly recommend it!
(It's delicious! Check it out below ^^)
There's plenty of space inside, divided into about 3 sections, making it suitable for company dinners, groups, and small gatherings.

There's a self-service corner like this.
Lettuce, perilla leaves/ *Kimchi*/ Pickles/ Fresh garlic + *ssamjang* (soybean paste)/
Chili pepper salad, etc. were available.
They also have wet wipes and *wasabi* available separately, so feel free to use them.
It was well-maintained, which was nice.
They provide the initial side dish setup, so only use the self-service corner if you need more.
The refrigerator was stocked with *soju*, beer, etc.
Cleanly stored utensils.
I'm quite sensitive about the hygiene of spoons and chopsticks...
Satisfied! Satisfied!!
A duck waddling around
Makes people walk straight.
-> I also gained energy after eating and went for a walk/exercise ^^
They even had barley tea bags for the water.
All the best restaurants serve delicious water.
Did they plan it that way?

Food Photos (Detailed and a lot of them!)
Cabbage salad/ Steamed eggplant with soy sauce dressing/ Mung bean jelly/ Pickles/ Fresh *kimchi*/ Chili pepper salad
Why is the eggplant so delicious... the best!
Aren't the side dishes visually appealing?

Duck *Tteokgalbi* (Recommended as an Appetizer!)
It comes with two patties and cabbage salad.
I thought it would be perfect to order this for kids!
The taste is guaranteed, and it's a flavor that makes you want to pack it in a lunchbox...
It's not spicy and the texture is soft, making it perfect for kids!

Neungi Duck *Baeksuk*/Half Portion
Today's star is here!
It was topped with *Neungi* mushrooms, white wood ear mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms.
The bottom layer was full of healthy chives, scallions, and jujubes!
Bubbling
Just looking at it makes me feel nourished ~-~
It was nice that it was cooked and ready to eat.
However, you all know, right?
The longer you boil and reduce this type of broth, the deeper the flavor becomes!!!
They served sticky rice with the duck *baeksuk* (this is the real highlight).
And the portion was really generous!

It's delicious even if you just dip the meat in salt.
It's also delicious if you wrap it with chives.
The broth is getting richer and richer as it simmers...★
The portion is quite large.
We pushed it to one side and started making porridge!!
There was so much rice that we only added half of it.
But it was still a lot.....
You don't have to worry about the portion size.
Just add it in.

Look at this...
The porridge is a real hit!!!
This isn't just food; it's medicine!!
There's nothing better than good food for restoring energy -능-

I'm leaving fully nourished!
If you drink *sikhye* (sweet rice drink) next to it, it solves digestion in one go!!
The surrounding walking trails are also nice, so I highly recommend taking a walk after eating.
Leaving with a full tummy...~ I enjoyed the meal!
