Sometimes you just get that ramen craving, right?

So, while shopping in Dongseongro, I started thinking about ramen and searched for a place, which led me to Menji Ramen in Dongseongro.

I saw a lot of good reviews and it was nearby, so I went straight there.

Hours: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Last Order: 8:30 PM

Closed on Tuesdays

Parking: Not available. Use paid parking lots near Dongseongro.

Payment: Simple payment methods accepted.

Menji Ramen in Dongseongro is known as a popular spot. I've been to several other ramen places, but I had high expectations for this one.

Even on a weekday evening, it was quite crowded, and there was a sign about a waiting list at the entrance.

Luckily, I didn't have to wait. Menji Ramen in Dongseongro also has counter seating, which is convenient for solo diners.

The menu includes:

Tori Paitan

Basil Aji Men Paitan

Spicy Tori Paitan

Tori Shoyu

Tori Shio and other types of ramen.

There were also rice bowls like:

Yakitori Don

Ebi Tamago Curry Don

Chicken Karaage Don.

I ordered the Tori Shio Ramen and the Chashu-filled Tori Paitan.

The restaurant was already full of customers. On the wall, there were instructions on how to best enjoy Menji Ramen.

Each table was equipped with condiments, side dishes, and, thoughtfully, hair ties, showing the owner's consideration for customers who might find their hair getting in the way while eating.

There was plenty of counter seating for solo diners, and also about 5-6 tables for groups. The ramen also comes out quickly, so the turnover rate is fast, and you probably won't have to wait long.

Here comes the ramen!

The ramen with several slices of chashu is my friend's, and mine is the basic ramen. It was clean-tasting, not too salty, and perfectly seasoned. It was so delicious!

Menji Ramen's strongest point is its clean flavor. The chicken was also very tender, unlike the chicken breast I usually eat, and it was incredibly tasty.

If you're looking for a ramen place in Dongseongro, I highly recommend Menji Ramen.
