Private Dining at its Finest: No.9 Hanwoo, A Gem Near Paju Unjeong Simhak Mountain
32, Gyoharo 159beon-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a renowned restaurant near Simhak Mountain in Paju with my family. I was so impressed with the quality of the meat, the taste, the ambiance, and the service that I had to share my experience.
Location and Parking
Yukmihyang Paju Unjeong Branch is about a 20-minute drive from the Simhak Mountain trail. Even from a distance, the neon sign was easily visible on the dark street.
Address: 32, Gyoharo 159beon-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st floor
Operating Hours: Daily 11:00 - 22:00 (Last Order at 21:00)
With ample parking, including an outdoor parking lot, this restaurant is perfect for families or company dinners. The interior was as spacious and pleasant as the exterior suggested. As a restaurant known for its cleanliness, the tables, floors, and utensils were spotless.
They also have six private rooms of varying sizes, so you can make a reservation and enjoy a cozy meal without being disturbed by other guests.
This restaurant offers a wide selection of meats, including top-quality Korean beef and barley-fed pork, and the side dishes are also reasonably priced.
You can also participate in a review event for a chance to win various prizes. It's easy to participate via QR code.
The table setting, including the charcoal, was impressive enough to pause our conversation. From the beautiful color of the meat to the fresh side dishes, everything caught my eye.
They even provide Hovenia dulcis water, known for its thirst-quenching properties. This attention to detail made me even more excited about the food.
Only a few side dishes are provided as part of the basic table setting, but you can help yourself to more at the self-service bar.
The 된장찌개 (Doenjang jjigae, soybean paste stew) served as a complimentary dish was plentiful with tofu, zucchini, and enoki mushrooms, making it good enough to be a standalone menu item.
The No.9 Hanwoo platter was a feast for the eyes. The marbling of the two-plus grade beef was exceptional.
As soon as I decided to put it on the grill, a staff member offered grilling service, which was a pleasant surprise.
The first cut, the 부채살 (Buchaesal, skirt steak), was as appetizing as its name suggested. The rich aroma and sizzling sound are still vivid in my mind.
The flavor was exceptional, and the crisp white kimchi from the self-service bar was a perfect match.
The 살치살 (Salchisal, ribeye cap) was impressive, with fat melting between the lean meat. It looked incredibly tender.
I often used the tangy 육장 (Yukjang) sauce with the cooked meat. It also paired well with the grilled shishito peppers, leaving a pleasant spicy aftertaste.
Wrapping it in 명이나물 (Myeonginamul, pickled garlic leaves) was even better. Thanks to the high-quality side dishes, I was able to enjoy a non-stop feast.
The 한우 안심 (Hanwoo Ansim, Korean beef tenderloin) had a beautiful glaze. The strong heat quickly filled the air with a savory aroma.
As expected, this premium cut offered perfect flavor and tenderness. It was a place that made me realize what true luxury tastes like.
I couldn't resist adding soju to the mix. The combination of flavorful Hanwoo and refreshing soju made me feel fantastic.
The 수제 고추장 더덕구이 (Homemade Gochujang Deodeok, grilled deodeok root with homemade gochujang sauce) was so good it brought back my appetite. The aroma of the gochujang sauce was amazing.
The deodeok had a strong fragrance, and it was tender and easy to chew, thanks to being pounded before cooking.
The 비빔냉면 (Bibim-naengmyeon, spicy cold noodles) I ordered for dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. The icy broth around the noodles was exactly to my liking.
It was served separately, so I could also enjoy it as 물냉면 (Mul-naengmyeon, cold noodles in broth). It was perfect for cleansing the palate after the rich beef.
The harmony of the chewy noodles and the spicy-sweet sauce was beyond my expectations. Adding the leftover meat made everything disappear from the table.
I was able to enjoy a relaxing tea time at the cafe operated by the restaurant. With the best meat and service, I highly recommend visiting with your loved ones.
