Perfect Combo: Spicy Octopus Bibimbap and Kongnamul Haejangguk (Soybean Sprout Hangover Soup) at Kongsim Hyangchon Branch in Mansu-dong

I visited Kongsim Hyangchon Branch in Mansu-dong today.
It was slightly raining and the weather was chilly, so I was craving a warm bowl of Kongnamul Haejangguk (Soybean Sprout Hangover Soup).
So, I ordered a Kongnamul Haejangguk and a spicy Octopus Bibimbap (mixed rice with octopus).
First of all, the soup of the Kongnamul Haejangguk was so refreshing.
A clear soybean sprout broth with an egg yolk floating on top.
I gently burst the yolk with my chopsticks and mixed it in, and it had a smooth and deep flavor.
It's perfect for a morning hangover cure and sufficient for a lunch meal.
The broth at Kongsim Hyangchon Branch in Mansu-dong was so clean that I finished the whole bowl without feeling any greasiness.

The spicy sauce of the Octopus Bibimbap went so well with the rice.
It was generously filled with soybean sprouts, carrots, lettuce, and seaweed flakes.
It had a hint of smoky flavor, and every spoonful of rice was filled with a spicy aroma.
The octopus was chewy and the sauce wasn't too strong, so I think even those who don't handle spicy food well can enjoy it.
If you come to Kongsim Hyangchon Branch in Mansu-dong, this menu is a must-try; I was so satisfied.

The side dishes were self-serve, so I could take as much as I wanted.
There were various kinds, such as kimchi, radish kimchi, salted squid, and garlic chives.
The side dishes were in good condition, so I could enjoy my meal pleasantly.
There was a notice saying that there would be an environmental charge of ₩3,000 if food was left over, so I ended up cleaning my plate even more thoroughly.

The restaurant was spacious and the table spacing was generous, making it great for solo dining.
They even had hair ties, hand sanitizer, and sanitary pads prepared, which showed their thoughtfulness.
The robot serving system was fun and interesting when the food came out.

The Kongnamul Haejangguk was ₩7,000 and the Octopus Bibimbap was ₩9,500, which is really reasonable considering the current prices.
The food at Kongsim Hyangchon Branch in Mansu-dong comes out quickly and is clean, so I was able to eat without waiting even during lunchtime.

I recommend this place to those who are looking for a hearty and stomach-friendly meal.
Highly recommend this restaurant!
