Hello there!

I'm back with a restaurant review after a long time!!

It's been a while since I've had a proper 'human' meal!

If you're looking for a restaurant recommendation near Anguk Station or a dog-friendly restaurant in Seoul,

I highly recommend Palbala! ♥️

Palbala Location:

Palbala is located next to Gyeongbokgung Palace,

about a 10-minute walk from Anguk Station!

I assumed it was in Samcheong-dong since it's the Samcheong main branch, but it turns out it's in Palpan-dong! (Palpan-dong is a bit unfamiliar to me haha)

But since it's usually referred to by its proximity to the station,

it's also famous as a restaurant recommendation near Anguk Station. ㅎㅎ

I usually go around with my dogs,

so I tend to look for dog-friendly restaurants in Seoul. ㅎㅎ

And I can't give up Samcheong-dong, my favorite neighborhood...

Since I'm from Busan, I always look for restaurants around Gyeongbokgung Palace when I visit Seoul. ????

So this time, I came to Palbala, recommended as a restaurant near Anguk Station and a dog-friendly restaurant in Seoul!!!

Although I couldn't bring Kung-aeng this time...

I'm planning to visit with Kung-aeng next time to try other dishes. ????????

The menu is largely divided into what is commonly referred to as appetizer-like

entrées, main dishes, desserts, and drinks.

We ordered a total of 5 dishes!

For entrées, we ordered French Onion Soup and Beef Tartare,

and for main dishes, Carbonara, Ragu Gratin, and Beef Bourguignon. ????

감동적인 장면

French Onion Soup

This was the dish I was most looking forward to!

I highly recommend trying this soup if you're looking for a restaurant near Anguk Station. ㅎㅎ

특별한 순간

Beef Tartare

I thought of the usual sauce(?) when I heard Tartare,

but it turns out the beef is called Tartare!!

Place the tartare on a Napa cabbage and add a little herring roe and bite into it,

and a very delicious combination is born. ㅠㅠㅠ

따뜻한 추억

Carbonara

It's a familiar taste, but

Carbonara changes depending on the chef's touch!!

It wasn't too greasy and the seasoning was just right, so it was so delicious. ㅜㅜ

꿈같은 순간

Ragu Gratin

The noodles here are round and very thick!

Chewing on them with the meat

made the texture so interesting. ㅎㅎ

평화로운 풍경

Beef Bourguignon

It had the texture of chop steak,

and the mashed potatoes were chewy! It was a great main dish!!

Actually, when you go to dog-friendly restaurants in Seoul,

there are a few places where the taste is not good or the portions are disappointing because they allow dogs,

but here, it just feels like a high-end French restaurant,

and the food wasn't too heavily seasoned,

so I was very satisfied when I left!!

Kung-aeng Mom's score is...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5 out of 5 stars. ????????

As it's near Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Korean sign of the store

is so charming. ㅜㅜ

The portions were enough for four adults,

and the price was reasonable, so we promised to come again next time. ㅎㅎ

If you are looking for dog-friendly restaurants or Anguk Station 맛집 (delicious restaurants) recommendations in Seoul,

Kung-aeng Mom confidently recommends Palbala!!
