Oreno Ramen: A Michelin Guide 2025 Featured Restaurant Review

Hello!
Today, I'm reviewing Oreno Ramen, a ramen restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide 2025!
It's famous for its rich chicken broth. I visited with high expectations, as I heard you can enjoy excellent ramen at a reasonable price!
The main branch of Oreno Ramen is located in Hapjeong and is a two-story building.
Apparently, it's the first ramen restaurant in Korea to be listed in the Michelin Guide!!
You wait on the first floor and then go up to the second floor.
It seems to have been a Michelin-recognized restaurant since 2019!
The instructions on how to use the restaurant were also written kindly.
Instead of Catch Table or Table Ring, there is a ticket vending machine in front of the restaurant, so you can visit and get a ticket and wait!
Finally, entering the restaurant! There are also hangers for you to hang your clothes comfortably.
The main menu items are Tori Paitan Ramen and Kara Paitan Ramen!
They are almost the same, but Kara Paitan Ramen is spicy with chili oil.
I wanted to try both, so I ordered one of each!
Tori Paitan Ramen
Finally, the Tori Paitan is here!
Isn't it unique that the soup is full of foam?
According to the Michelin description, the broth is ground before serving!
Perhaps that's why the broth clings to my mouth and feels much creamier.
The egg was so delicious, needless to say, and what was especially delicious was the kelp on top!
Oreno Ramen whips the broth once more before serving to create a rich foam, which creates a texture that clings to the mouth. 'Paitan' refers to a white soup made by boiling a whole chicken, characterized by a deep flavor with a savory aroma and creamy texture. The combination of homemade noodles, tender chicken, kelp, and eggs is excellent. You can choose a spicy broth depending on your preference, and noodles, rice, and broth can be refilled. The waiting line is always long, but the turnover rate is fast, so you don't have to wait long. It is recommended to add the free chili peppers.
Kara Paitan Ramen
Kara Paitan is the same. The broth was full of foam, so it tasted like it stuck to my mouth.
It was a little spicy, so I could eat it without getting tired of it until the end.
Ordering both was a divine move!!
Ramen seems simple, but I liked it so much because it felt like they put a lot of care into the ingredients here.
The chicken was incredibly tender, and the combination with the chewy kelp was so good.
Can you see the soup? Next time, I have to have a bowl of Kara Paitan...wow
I heard that they make the noodles themselves, and they were so chewy and good.
In the end, I added noodles ㅎㅎ They gave me more noodles, green onions, and meat~
Noodles, rice, and broth are added for free, so enjoy as much as you like!!
If you like ramen, I definitely recommend you visit...
The basic one was also very, very delicious, but if you are sensitive to greasy food,
I recommend Kara Paitan!
