Obang Tongdak is about a 10-minute walk from Dongmyo Station.
Parking in this area can be challenging, so it's recommended to use public transportation or walk.
Bus and subway transfers are convenient near here, so there's not much to worry about regarding transportation.
It perfectly matches the local vibe of Dongmyo, and you feel comfortable as soon as you enter.
It has an old-school feel, but the space is basically well-maintained, so there were no hygiene concerns at all.
Menu
The dishes we ordered were Golden Chicken (21.0), Chicken Pancake (14.0), and Cucumber Salad (8.0)!
The Golden Chicken was charming with its subtle charcoal scent.
The savory and soft taste of the roasted garlic inside the chicken was also quite memorable.
Then there's the cucumber salad and the chicken pancake.
The chicken pancake was unfamiliar, but it was just a deliciously fried pancake, so I enjoyed it without any problem.
Of course, all the other dishes were delicious, but personally, I can't strangely forget the cucumber salad that came as a side dish. I almost wanted to ask for the secret recipe.
When I eat chicken, I sometimes feel a bit greasy, but the cucumber salad provided a really refreshing kick at those times.
The cucumber salad here is definitely a must-order. (Seriously)
Interior
The interior is quite cozy, but there are two floors, so I thought it would be good to come in a group!
What really stood out was the interior, which recreated the retro mood of an old-fashioned chicken restaurant, giving it a strong vintage vibe.
Obang Tongdak is a delicious chicken restaurant where you can eat and have fun in Dongmyo.
