Manisan Sanchae: A Delightful Korean Set Menu Experience Near KINTEX Ilsan

Today, I want to introduce you to a Korean set menu restaurant I recently visited. Manisan Sanchae in Ilsan KINTEX offers a heartfelt dining experience with 24 years of expertise in Korean cuisine.
They season their dishes with their own herbal enzyme, without using any artificial flavor enhancers, allowing you to enjoy a healthy and non-irritating meal.
Manisan Sanchae Ilsan Branch
210 Sannam-ro, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do
Open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
(Break time on weekends from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM)
Manisan Sanchae Ilsan Branch is located near Ilsan Seo-gu and Paju Unjeong. It's less than a 15-minute drive from Paju Simhak Mountain.
There's ample parking space available. The restaurant is open from 11 AM to 9 PM daily, with a break time from 3:30 PM to 5 PM on weekends.
They also have a separate space for those who want to bring their precious pets. We don't have any pets, but it would be great for those who do to bring them and have a happy time.

The interior has a comfortable and cozy atmosphere with a traditional Korean Hanok design. I especially liked the wooden tones of the tables and wallpaper.
There's a self-bar where you can find traditional snacks, Omija Ade (magnolia berryade), and even cook your own fried eggs (one per person).
You can also learn about the benefits of herbs and tips on how to enjoy them through the screens. There were surprisingly many things to see, making it a feast for the eyes.
We ordered and shared the Dried Yellow Croaker and Grilled Short Rib Patties set menu. The food looked so beautiful that exclamations of admiration naturally came out.
Even the cabbage and lettuce wraps were incredibly fresh. Not only the side dishes, but also the Ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce) contained herbal enzymes, adding to its healthy appeal.
This is a healthy Japchae (glass noodles) made with tofu noodles instead of glass noodles. It was a perfect low-carb, high-fat dish with a savory flavor that exceeded expectations.
The porridge changes depending on the season or situation. On this day, we were served pure corn porridge, and the simple taste of corn was truly exceptional.
The lotus root salad was full of nutty flavor with sesame dressing. As expected of a KINTEX Ilsan 맛집 (delicious restaurant), there wasn't a single side dish that I didn't like.
The laver fully captured the scent of the sea, and the mayonnaise and flying fish roe in the center were a satisfying touch.
The Skate and Pollock seasoned with a special sauce was also right up my alley. The chewy texture of the fish was well preserved, and the savory flavor of the seasoning went perfectly with it.
We also refreshed our palates with acorn jelly salad in between dishes. The weather was quite hot that day, and it felt like the heat was completely gone.
For the tender boiled octopus, the aged kimchi ceviche that came as a garnish was a stroke of genius. The different textures and flavors harmonized perfectly.
The Skate Steamed Molecular Cuisine used Cheongyang chili peppers to add a point of flavor. The subtle spiciness that lingered from the molecular sauce was truly charming.
The Sorghum Crepes, which I tasted for the first time at this restaurant, were truly a surprising delight. It was a rice cake made by kneading and baking sorghum flour and then adding red bean paste, which anyone of any age would enjoy.
The fun of moving from light dishes to main dishes was more enjoyable than I thought. The Manisan Samhap, consisting of skate, boiled pork, and aged kimchi from highland areas, was a delicacy among delicacies.
Each dish was well-seasoned with sesame oil ceviche or special sauces. The fermented taste of the skate was less intense, making it easy to enjoy.
The Grilled Short Rib Patties showed the true quality of ribs with a smoky flavor. As I got closer, the scent of fire spread, stimulating my appetite again.
The soft texture followed by the savory flavor was truly art, and I was very satisfied because it was less greasy because it was grilled over a direct fire.
The Dried Yellow Croaker with its salty flavor was my top pick at this restaurant. It is a dried yellow croaker salted and dried in the sea breeze, and it showed a unique flavor with little fishy smell.
I could feel the chewier and more chewy texture than regular dried yellow croaker. I was very satisfied with the savory flavor added to the mellow flavor through aging.
Here, mugwort rice and a bowl for mixing seasonal vegetables are prepared. In particular, mixing it with soy sauce seasoned with various herbs was truly honey-flavored.
The dried yellow croaker itself was the best accompaniment, so it was great to put it on rice one by one. I hadn't had high-quality Korean food in a long time, so there was no time for the corners of my mouth to drop.
I think there is a clear reason why it has become a 맛집 (delicious restaurant). With the philosophy that good food is good medicine, it would be difficult to easily find a place like this to enjoy healthy Korean food. I plan to visit again with my friends soon and enjoy the same happiness.
