A few weeks ago, I took my colleagues to one of my favorite restaurants in Bundang, Jipbul Taebaek, and they couldn't stop praising it. I think it's because they were able to experience the best-tasting grilled ribs (Woo Dae Galbi), pre-grilled over짚bul (straw fire). Let me introduce you to Jipbul Taebaek Yatap, also well-known as a great restaurant in Bundang Seohyeon.

1. Inside/Outside Jipbul Taebaek
Jipbul Taebaek Yatap is a real 맛집 (delicious restaurant) that grills various meats such as Woo Dae Galbi, pork belly, and pork shoulder over짚bul. I also visited by chance and became a regular customer.
The restaurant in Bundang Pangyo has a parking lot, and if it's full, I recommend the Matgoeul Public Parking Lot, which is a 3-minute walk away. Please also note that it is open from 11:30 to 22:30 every day.
The interior was a hall with a sophisticated and luxurious atmosphere. The high ceilings made it a spacious and pleasant place to dine.
As a well-known restaurant in Bundang Seohyeon, it also has private rooms, making it a popular place for gatherings. I thought it would be perfect for hosting an end-of-year party.
Moreover, it was fun to watch the pre-grilling room directly. The technique of pre-grilling over 700-degree짚bul to add a unique flavor raised expectations.
2. Menu
We didn't hesitate to pick the 生 Woo Dae Galbi (raw ribs), which are sold in limited quantities. Of course, the other meats also caught our attention, but it was a must-try menu for my colleagues who were visiting for the first time.
They were also holding a 2nd-anniversary thank-you event, where you get 1 serving of pork belly when you order 2 or more servings of meat. It's until December 14th, so be sure to take advantage of it for your end-of-year gatherings.
The basic table setting was simple but well-prepared. The quality of each dish was so great that I could feel the care that went into it.
From the fresh lettuce salad to the homemade kimchi, there was nothing to skip. Everyone was surprised to see that there were 5 different sauces to dip the meat in.
Also, at this restaurant, you can get as many side dishes as you want from the self-service bar. So, I was able to enjoy it in a variety of ways without worrying about the amount.
3. Pre-grilled 生 Woo Dae Galbi
The 生 Woo Dae Galbi we ordered was being deliciously grilled over짚bul in the pre-grilling room we saw earlier. It was grilled quickly over high heat, so it didn't seem like there was any room for the juicy 육즙 (meat juice) to escape.
The pre-grilled ribs were truly a feast for the senses. The heavy figure was visually overwhelming, and the collaboration of짚bul flavor and meat flavor was also amazing.
I was able to wait comfortably with the staff's grilling service. The elasticity of the meat felt vividly during the cutting, and the savory meat flavor was also amazing.
I think the most delicious doneness is when a slight pink color remains. As expected, the staff, who knows the best taste, also put the meat in that state on the ribs.
I put the first piece of meat in my mouth without any garnish. The quality of the Woo Dae Galbi itself was excellent, so the 육즙 and the following flavor were amazing.
The time sauce (special soy sauce) definitely wasn't salty and greatly contributed to enhancing the savory taste of the meat. Not only me but also my colleagues were smiling from ear to ear.
Above all, the angelica pesto sauce was the key point of this restaurant. The harmony of the rich angelica scent and the unique flavor was amazing.
I enjoyed it with fresh vegetable salad and grilled garlic or mushrooms in various ways. I vividly remember that there was no time to get bored because there were so many ways to eat it.
Moreover, they even took care of the meat attached to the bones. It was a moment when the restaurant's meticulous service shined.
If you leave a review on the store receipt, you will get짚bul sausage as a service. Most restaurants give you a drink, but this restaurant even has a different kind of review event.
Perhaps because it was a homemade sausage, the 육즙 burst as soon as I bit into it, and the savory taste was amazing. It is also sold as a side menu, so I highly recommend ordering it.
I made the atmosphere more comfortable by sharing drinks with my colleagues. I was able to build teamwork, including new employees who had not been with the company for long.
4. Taste 육회 (Beef Tartare) & Cold Noodles
The taste 육회 was just right with good value for money. This is because I was able to feel the rich taste of 육회 with an appropriate amount.
The cold noodles with ice flakes are the perfect menu to cleanse your palate. It was getting colder, so I was thinking about ordering stew, but I didn't want to break my own routine.
Thanks to the courageous choice, I was able to enjoy it even more deliciously. I enjoyed it with the remaining Woo Dae Galbi without missing a single strand of noodles.
5. Overall Review
I think anyone would like the meat with a unique flavor added by짚bul smoking. In particular, it was a perfect place if you are craving Woo Dae Galbi or want to try it for the first time.
