Jinhyang Jokbal: A Hidden Gem in Gwangjang Market Known for Tender Pig's Trotters

Today, I visited Jinhyang Jokbal, a renowned Jokbal (pig's trotters) restaurant in Jongno, located near Gwangjang Market in Jongno 5-ga. It's a Jongno institution known for delicious Jokbal!
I highly recommend this place as a true Gwangjang Market 맛집 (delicious restaurant)!
The Jokbal is unbelievably delicious...
It's so popular that you'll likely encounter a wait.
And it's not just young people lining up; it's filled with older generations, a sure sign of a truly authentic and amazing restaurant!

We visited on a Saturday evening, and it was completely packed!
The customers were mostly in their 60s and 70s! That's how you know it's the real deal.

Jinhyang Jokbal in Gwangjang Market specializes in Jokbal.
As you probably know, the front leg (front trotter) is the most flavorful part!
What we ordered (for two people):
Front Jokbal (front trotter): ₩45,000
Spicy Mixed Noodles (쟁반막국수): ₩18,000
These are the standard side dishes.
Lettuce, seasoned chives, radish kimchi (무말랭이), salted shrimp, ssamjang (쌈장, a thick, spicy paste), chili peppers, and garlic.
Personally, I thought the radish kimchi was incredibly delicious!
The radish was huge, and the seasoning was perfect. It paired so well with the Jokbal.
The lettuce was also so fresh.
This is the kimchi and bean sprout soup (김치콩나물국) that comes as a complimentary side.
It's kind of like a hangover cure? It's spicy, refreshing, and just plain delicious!
I seriously think it would be amazing with rice.

Okay, this is ₩18,000... but there's a reason for that price.
It might not look like much in the picture, but the portion is enormous!
You could seriously get full just from eating this Spicy Mixed Noodles with two people.

The Jokbal is truly... incredibly delicious.
It's been so long since I've had such delicious Jokbal! If you are looking for amazing Jokbal in Jongno, I HIGHLY recommend Jinhyang Jokbal.
The skin is incredibly chewy, and the meat isn't dry at all; it's absolutely delicious! There's also no gamey smell at all.
Jokbal is best enjoyed wrapped in lettuce!
I was originally just planning to eat... but the Jokbal was so delicious that I ordered a bottle of soju!
The Front Jokbal and Spicy Mixed Noodles for two people was too much food. We couldn't finish it all. But it was incredibly delicious!
I highly recommend Jinhyang Jokbal in Gwangjang Market.
Overall:
The owner is very, very friendly!
The restrooms are conveniently located inside, individually.
They also have space for group gatherings! There's a group seating area, making it a great place for company dinners.
