As soon as I stepped out of the Jeju Airport gate, all I could think about was having some fresh seafood.

After picking up the rental car, I was about to turn on the navigation when the employee recommended a great breakfast spot nearby.

Since it was supposedly close, I decided to head straight there instead of checking into the accommodation first.

Gorgeous scene

1. Haesot Jeju Airport Main Branch

Address: 2nd floor, 131 Seohaean-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

Hours: Daily 09:00 - 20:00

Menu: Set menu for 4 (81,000 KRW), Abalone Stew (13,000 KRW)

A refreshing view of the blue sea unfolded before my eyes, and a neatly prepared table setting awaited us.

I felt great being able to enjoy such scenery and food right from the first day of the trip.

It was less than a 5-minute drive from the airport exit.

I was surprised that there was such a great restaurant so close by.

As soon as we sat down, we were handed the menu and carefully examined it.

As expected of a restaurant specializing in abalone dishes, the diverse options caught my eye.

As I slowly poured a cold beer into a clear glass, the golden liquid bubbled up.

I entrusted the driving to a friend and savored the first glass to celebrate the start of the trip.

The side dishes that came out first were incredibly fresh.

Seeing the neatly arranged side dishes raised my expectations for the main courses.

A salad with yellow corn kernels and various vegetables was mixed with a savory dressing.

It was the perfect side dish to snack on while waiting for the main course.

The red-colored squid jeotgal (salted seafood) also heightened my anticipation.

One bite was so flavorful that it was a true rice thief.

As the dishes ordered for four people were served one after another, the table was filled generously.

I was confident that this amount would be enough to fill us up.

Grilled whole abalones were served individually on plates according to the number of people.

Because they were grilled in their shells, I could experience the full flavor.

I carefully picked up a piece and put it in my mouth.

The chewy yet tender texture and the sea scent that spread in my mouth with each bite were amazing.

The abalone stone pot rice was topped with plenty of thick abalone slices.

The combination with the chopped green onions was mouth-watering.

Looking closely, the firm texture strongly stimulated my appetite.

As expected of a specialist restaurant, the quality of the ingredients was definitely outstanding.

After mixing everything well, I took a big spoonful and put it in my mouth.

The flavor of the seafood permeated the rice, creating a savory and deep taste.

I was also amazed by the visual of a whole mackerel grilled.

The crispy surface with the oil drained out stimulated my appetite.

The fish was so tender that the large bones came out easily.

It seemed possible because it was carefully grilled at the right temperature.

I put a piece of the fish on top of the warm stone pot rice and ate it together.

The diverse flavors harmonized to create a fantastic taste.

The abalone porridge in the small pot spread a savory aroma.

The thick consistency and deep color showed its high nutritional value.

I carefully scooped the porridge with a ladle and transferred it to a personal bowl.

The rich aroma traveled through the steam and deeply entered my nose.

After blowing on it to cool it down, I filled my mouth with it.

The soft rice and chewy texture were incredibly fun to chew.

You can also experience a spicy soup with various seafood in a earthenware pot.

It comes with a generous amount of fresh seafood.

Even here, the abalone boasted an outstanding presence.

Using such ingredients made me feel like I was getting more than my money's worth.

There is a well-maintained coastal trail in front of the restaurant, making it perfect for digesting after a meal.

I was able to fully capture the scenery of Jeju Island while enjoying the sea breeze.

The Jeju trip got off to a perfect start thanks to the meal.

It made me look forward to the rest of the itinerary even more.

2. Eomajangjang Seafood Stew Jeju Main Branch

Address: 62 Seongji-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

Hours: 10:30 - 19:30

Menu: Abalone Seafood Stew (17,500 KRW)

Eomajangjang Seafood Stew near Jeju Dongmun Market!

I was overwhelmed by the abundant seafood visuals.

Fresh abalone and seafood were plentiful! The broth was deep and refreshing, making it perfect for a hangover cure.

In particular, I can't forget the spicy and savory taste of the abalone seafood stew.

There is also black pork cutlet for children, making it a great place for family dining.

3. Complete Coffee

Hours: 09:00 - 19:30 (Last Order 19:00)

Menu: Sakerato (5,500 KRW)

Complete Coffee, a hot place in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju!

I loved the modern and sophisticated interior and the atmosphere filled with the scent of coffee.

The Tangerine Cappuccino, the signature menu here, had a truly special taste that balanced the coffee with a refreshing tangerine scent.

The quality of the desserts, such as the Chestnut Cheese Cake and Cremant d'Anjou, that I ordered together was also considerable.

We also recommend a variety of hand drip menus for coffee lovers.

4. Dotori Kitchen Main Branch

Address: 1st floor, 59 Bukseong-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

Hours: 11:00 - 17:00 (Last Order 16:30)

Menu: Green Tangerine Soba (10,500 KRW)

Special soba in Jeju! Dotori Kitchen Main Branch's Green Tangerine Soba features slices of sweet and sour green tangerine.

It offers more coolness and cleanliness than you can imagine.

The tendon with outstanding tempura quality is also a must-try menu, especially the sea mustard tofu rice balls with a subtle sea scent that are perfect for children's tastes.

The cozy wood-tone interior and the sense of trust given by the open kitchen were also good. It is close to the airport and is the best place to start or finish your trip.

5. Woojin Haejangguk

Address: 11 Seosa-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do

Hours: 06:00 - 22:00 (Closed every Tuesday)

Menu: Bracken Hangover Stew (10,000 KRW)

Jeju citizens' soul food. The bracken stew of Woojin Haejangguk, which I met after a long wait, is a masterpiece with its thick and rich soup.

The savory taste of pork bone base and bracken combine to make you feel warm with just one bowl.

It's a special taste that you can't easily find, so tastes may vary, but once you fall into its unique, deep, and rich charm, it's hard to get out.

Be sure to try Momguk and Mung Bean Pancake, which are also popular menus.
