Inside a Cozy Shabu-Shabu Dining Experience at Shabu In Seoul

This visit to Shabu In Seoul Apgujeong Rodeo Branch was for a casual gathering tied to a wedding invitation, chosen for its atmosphere and convenient location.
The shabu-shabu ingredients were served quickly and the broth options were appealing, especially the clear mushroom broth paired with egg porridge.
While the shabu-shabu itself was enjoyable, the overall experience felt mixed due to bland seasoning and a rushed service near break time.
An Easy-to-Reach Shabu-Shabu Spot in Apgujeong Rodeo
Hello. Today, I’m introducing a restaurant located near Exit 5 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station.
The place is Shabu In Seoul Apgujeong Rodeo Branch, a well-known spot for shabu-shabu with a polished atmosphere.
With its spacious interior and calm mood, it’s often chosen for gatherings, meetings, and casual celebrations.
Visit Purpose and Reservation Experience
I visited this branch for a wedding invitation gathering, and the event itself isn’t over yet.
I made a reservation in advance through Naver, and upon arrival, we were guided directly to our reserved table.
The entrance already felt upscale, setting expectations before even sitting down.

Operating Hours and Parking Information
The restaurant operates from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
On weekdays, there is a break time from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, which is important to keep in mind when planning your visit.
Parking is available with valet service, starting at 5,000 won, and it is paid parking.
Lunch Menu and What We Ordered
I visited during lunchtime, so the menu selection was based on lunch options.
We ordered the Prime Angus Beef Shabu Set for two, choosing the clear mushroom broth with egg porridge.
There are six types of broth available, and the meal composition changes depending on the broth you select.

Quick Service at the Start
The shabu-shabu ingredients were served very quickly, which I genuinely appreciated.
As soon as everything arrived, we started cooking right away, and the heat built up fast.
This made the initial dining experience feel smooth and satisfying.
Broth Choice and Taste Impressions
I chose the clear mushroom broth with egg porridge because it’s usually my favorite.
The broth itself was clean and pleasant, and the shabu-shabu meat and vegetables paired well with it.
However, despite enjoying lighter flavors, the overall seasoning felt almost nonexistent.

Disappointing Egg Porridge and Service Timing
As break time approached, the staff seemed rushed, which made the atmosphere feel a bit pressured.
The egg porridge, which I was looking forward to, turned out to be quite disappointing.
I even found myself dipping the ingredients back into the remaining broth to add flavor.
Overall Thoughts and Branch Comparison
The shabu-shabu itself was enjoyable, but the egg porridge and staff attentiveness left room for improvement.
If you’re searching for a shabu-shabu restaurant with a nice atmosphere for gatherings or dates, this place is still a solid option.
Personally, though, I preferred the Seongsu branch over the Apgujeong Rodeo location.
