Hanwoo Jin Daega: A Delicious and Affordable Lunch Spot Near Gunsan City Hall

I recently visited a restaurant near Gunsan City Hall with my colleagues for lunch. It turned out to be an amazing place called Hanwoo Jin Daega, offering delicious and cost-effective options like Korean beef soup (Hanwoo Gukbap), cold noodles (Naengmyeon), and Korean beef tartare bibimbap (Hanwoo Yukhoe Bibimbap).
It was perfect for a Gunsan City Hall lunch, and they also have spacious private rooms available, so I'm excited to introduce it to you.
Hanwoo Jin Daega is located near Gunsan City Hall, making it a popular lunch spot. I was glad we chose to come here.
The restaurant is very spacious and pleasantly decorated. It has been expanded and reopened, now boasting 130 seats. There are also nine private rooms, making it a great place for gatherings.
We were quickly seated by a staff member and looked over the menu. We ordered some of their popular lunch items, including Hanwoo Gukbap, Hanwoo Yukhoe Bibimbap, and Naengmyeon.
They also had a special reopening event where you could receive complimentary Hanwoo Yukhoe by making a reservation through Naver or by presenting a student ID.
Soon after, our orders started arriving. We also decided to add the Jin Daega Assortment (meat platter) to our meal, and they prepared charcoal for grilling.
Before grilling the meat, we tried the Hanwoo Gukbap, which was incredibly flavorful and refreshing. The broth was deep and rich, prompting an involuntary "Wow!"
The soup was also packed with beef, which was surprising given the reasonable price. After mixing it with rice, it became even more satisfying.
Next, we tried the Hanwoo Yukhoe Bibimbap, another popular lunch choice. It was filled with various vegetables, seaweed flakes, and pear slices.
After mixing it with the sauce and rice, I took a big bite. The combination of spicy, sour, and savory flavors was fantastic, solidifying its place as a top restaurant near Gunsan City Hall.
Even though it's primarily a Korean BBQ restaurant, they also offer Naengmyeon as a main dish, not just as a side. The generous portion and icy broth made it a great and filling meal.
The noodles were chewy and refreshing, perfectly complemented by the tangy broth.
We also tried the spicy Bibim Naengmyeon (mixed cold noodles), which was topped with plenty of ingredients. It looked so delicious that it was hard to resist.
After quickly mixing the noodles, sauce, and toppings, I took a bite. The chewy noodles and spicy-sour sauce were incredibly appetizing.
We also ordered the Hanwoo Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). It was served with an egg yolk and pear slices, making it perfect for enjoying together.
The beef was tender and sticky. It was so delicious that I couldn't stop praising it. This is truly a cost-effective restaurant near Gunsan City Hall.
Since we enjoyed the lunch menu so much, we decided to try the meat as well. We ordered the Jin Daega Assortment, which was beautifully presented.
We placed the meat on the grill, and the sizzling sound filled the air. The savory aroma stimulated our appetites even further.
The grilled beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful. It was so delicious that we couldn't help but be amazed.
We also ordered additional chuck flap tail (Salchisal) because the meat was so good. Everyone enjoyed it and agreed that it was a great place to visit for lunch or dinner.
Finally, we ordered the Hanwoo Oxtail Stew (Hanwoo SOKKORI Jjim) as a nourishing dish. The presentation was amazing, with plenty of oxtail and vegetables.
The meat was incredibly tender and had a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. It was so good that I could easily eat two bowls of rice. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant.
