Hannam Manri Itaewon Cheonsang: Exquisite Eel Dishes in Itaewon

I discovered a restaurant in Itaewon that offers refined Japanese cuisine for lunch and a luxurious izakaya menu with a great atmosphere in the evening. It's called Hannam Manri Itaewon Cheonsang, located in Hannam I-Park Avenue in front of Hannam Station and near Hangangjin Station.
Hannam Manri Itaewon Cheonsang is a restaurant that combines Itaewon Cheonsang, which first opened in Itaewon in 1999, and Hannam Manri, becoming a renowned spot for eel rice bowls in Seoul. With a commitment to 'compete with quality food,' they pay attention to every ingredient and strive to provide the best presentation, making it a great place to visit for lunch or dinner. I especially enjoy visiting for lunch to savor their exceptional eel rice bowls.
The interior exudes a luxurious Japanese restaurant atmosphere, calm and clean, making it perfect for special guests or business meetings. When I have meetings in Hannam-dong and need a restaurant near Hangangjin Station, I always take my client meeting staff to Hannam Manri Itaewon Cheonsang. Everyone, without exception, has been satisfied with the experience.
There are also private room-like spaces inside, making it ideal for intimate dates or quiet meals where you can enjoy conversations.
Looking at the menu of Hannam Manri Itaewon Cheonsang near Hangangjin Station, you can see a variety of dishes are available. Among them, the eel omakase menu and the hitsumabushi eel rice bowl menu are particularly popular, befitting its reputation as an eel dish specialist. However, they also offer a wide selection of donburi and sashimi dishes.
My favorite menu item is the hitsumabushi, prepared with eel that is hand-prepared and grilled in-house, eliminating any fishy smell and infusing it with a rich charcoal aroma. It's served neatly as a set, and just seeing the table full of beautifully presented dishes is a healing experience.
The eel is thick and substantial, using only the highest quality eel, and the combination of the sweet and savory sauce is perfect. It's delicious on its own, but even better when eaten with rice.
Scooping up the rice underneath and topping it with plenty of eel, the flavor and soft texture of the eel, combined with the luxurious charcoal aroma, allow you to experience the true taste of an authentic eel restaurant.
It's also great to enjoy it with a bouncy, pudding-like steamed egg, and enjoying it as ochazuke by pouring hot tea over it is another unique delight.
The lunch special soba & mini sushi menu, where you can enjoy soba with three colors of sushi, is also a must-try. The soba has a distinct katsuo flavor, so it doesn't taste like a mass-produced product, but rather like an authentic Japanese flavor. It's a great menu to enjoy in the summer, giving you a taste of Japan.
The sushi uses only the freshest cuts of halibut, tuna, and salmon, so you can taste the luxurious sushi where the texture, taste, and aroma of the rice are well-balanced. It's definitely a menu you should try.
You can get 2 hours of free parking in the basement if you eat in the restaurant, and 30 minutes of free parking if you order takeout, making it easy to visit by car. I highly recommend visiting Hannam Manri Itaewon Cheonsang near Hangangjin Station.
