Gossi's Cheonji Noodles: A Must-Try Meat Noodle Spot Near Seogwipo Olle Market in Jeju

Hello, I'm Haikong!
When you travel to Jeju Island, one dish you absolutely have to try is meat noodles (Gogi Guksu)!
This time, I visited Gossi's Cheonji Noodles, located near Seogwipo Olle Market.
It's perfectly located near the popular Olle Market, making it a great spot for lunch. It's a local favorite, and people were lining up to eat there!

It's easy to find, right next to the old Seogwipo Bus Terminal.
If you're driving, using the Cheonji Public Parking Lot is convenient.
They offer 30 minutes of free parking, and parking is free on weekends, so you can park without any worries.
It's also only a 5-minute walk from Olle Market, making it a perfect addition to your sightseeing itinerary.
The exterior of the restaurant is neat and tidy, and you can really feel the local Jeju atmosphere.
The sign with 'Gossi's Cheonji Noodles' written on it is large and easily noticeable.
There tends to be a wait during lunchtime, so it's best to go around 11:30 AM.
The interior is small but clean.
There were quite a few tourists there.
The tables felt new... or something like that.
It was clean and tidy, so I felt good ordering.
The signature dishes are Myeolgo Noodles (9,000 KRW) and Suyuk (boiled pork slices, 15,000 KRW).
I visited last spring, so the prices may have changed.
Myeolgo Noodles are the restaurant's signature dish, so you definitely have to try them.
'Myeolgo' is a special Jeju dish that combines anchovy and pork broth, and you can hardly find it in other regions.
It's much cleaner and more savory than bone broth, so everyone enjoys it.
The side dishes were simple but neatly arranged.
Kimchi, radish kimchi (kkakdugi), onions, peppers, and ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce) were served.
They said that all the ingredients are locally sourced.
The radish kimchi was especially crunchy and went very well with the meat noodles.
We ordered two Myeolgo Noodles and a plate of Suyuk.
The Myeolgo Noodles had a subtle anchovy aroma, and the pork was very generous.
The Myeolgo Noodle soup was not overpowering and was very clean.
Thanks to the anchovy broth, it was easy on the stomach, and I was able to enjoy it refreshingly until the end.
The Suyuk was made with Jeju pork, so it was tender and chewy without any unpleasant smell.
It comes with chili ssamjang and soy sauce with scallions, and that combination is truly a delicacy.
The ratio of fat to lean meat was just right, so it went down smoothly without being greasy.
If you're looking for a clean and hearty meal in Jeju Island, I highly recommend Gossi's Cheonji Noodles Olle Market Branch.
Especially the Myeolgo Noodles are a special dish that you can only taste in Jeju, so be sure to try it at least once during your trip.
It's right next to the Cheonji Public Parking Lot, making it easily accessible. 👍
