Goguryeo Jjamppong 10101: A Must-Try Jjamppong Spot in Seoknam, Incheon!

Today's review is about Goguryeo Jjamppong 10101 Seoknam Branch, a local favorite in Incheon's Seoknam neighborhood!
I'd been meaning to visit since it's in my neighborhood, and I finally made it! I went around 7 PM on a Sunday evening, and it quickly filled up!
Here's their hours of operation:
Regular days off are the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month!
They are closed on Tuesdays if Monday is a public holiday!
Opens at 11:00 AM
Last order at 8:30 PM
Closes at 9:00 PM
Break time is from 4-5 PM, so keep that in mind!
True to its name as a famous Jjamppong restaurant in Seoknam-dong, Goguryeo Jjamppong's main menu is, of course, Jjamppong, with various Jjamppong options. Besides that, they also offer Jjajangmyeon and fried rice.
Interestingly, they have a children's Jjajangmyeon for only ₩3,000!
You can place your order through the kiosk at each table.
We ordered Jjajangmyeon, Chadol (brisket) Jjamppong, and mini sweet and sour pork!
They provide pickled radish and onions as a basic side dish!
Anything else you need, you can grab it yourself from the self-service bar!
The restaurant is spacious, with both group seating and single-person tables, making it a comfortable place to eat alone.
My husband's Jjajangmyeon.
They topped it with peas and corn, giving it an old-school vibe, like the Jjajangmyeon you'd find in the market.
The sauce was sweet and delicious, and it blended perfectly with the noodles. It was one of the best Jjajangmyeons I've had in a long time.
I'm usually a Jjamppong person, but I kept stealing bites of his Jjajangmyeon that day! Haha.
I've tried several Chinese restaurants in Seoknam-dong, but beyond being part of an experience group, Goguryeo Jjamppong 10101 was the best!

My Chadol Jjamppong!
The visuals alone were impressive!
The Jjamppong was served overflowing in a bowl, making it look delicious.
It was topped with a generous amount of brisket.
Below the meat was onion, squid, onions, green onions and mussels!
I couldn't even find the noodles in the bowl at first. LOL

There was so much topping on top that I was already satisfied before even taking a bite!!
They added a lot of smoky flavor.
The aroma and taste were amazing.
The vegetables were cooked thoroughly, and they tasted great when eaten with the meat.
There were also quite a lot of meat, squid, and mussels!
The soup wasn't too spicy, but it was just the right amount of heat.
If you like your food spicier, I recommend the Bul Jjamppong (spicy Jjamppong)!

I'm planning to try the Bul Jjamppong next time~~~
The mini sweet and sour pork also came in a pretty large portion.
The sauce had cute toppings!
The sweet and sour pork was chewy and delicious because it's made with glutinous rice flour.
The pork inside was also substantial and tasted so good!

If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant or a Jjamppong restaurant in Seoknam-dong, Incheon,
I highly recommend Goguryeo Jjamppong 10101 Seoknam Branch!
It feels like I've finally found my favorite Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood.
I was so satisfied that I could picture myself returning from an overseas trip and immediately wanting to eat their Bul Jjamppong!
It was packed when I went, so make sure to time your visit well.
All menu items are available for takeout.
