Today, I'd like to introduce a special spot in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do.

It's a place where you can richly enjoy traditional Korean cuisine made with excellent ingredients that stimulate your appetite.

Many people praise it as a great restaurant in Ilsan Jeongbalsan, and it was so wonderful that I wanted to bring my parents back here.

The restaurant, Geogung Ilsan, is located at 2F, 2036, 300 Hallyuworld-ro, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. It's about a 15-minute walk from Juyeop Station, making it easily accessible by public transportation.

The building has a clean exterior. Because the sign is large, it was easy to spot from a distance.

There's dedicated parking inside the building, so you don't have to worry about parking if you come by car.

Inside, the space was generally open and well-maintained. There were plenty of seats, making it suitable for various gatherings and banquets. There was also a separate group seating area, so even if you visit with several people, there's no discomfort.

Sitting down, I looked at the menu. There were more diverse Korean set menu options than I expected. It was a cost-effective Korean restaurant where you could experience a variety of dishes.

After ordering, the side dishes and main dishes were served one by one. I was delighted to see a table full of authentic Korean dishes such as braised short ribs, pot rice, boiled pork slices, grilled dried pollack, short rib patties, and tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties).

I started by tasting the side dishes. The japchae (glass noodles) had a chewy and savory taste that whetted my appetite. I was happy that even the side dishes were of high quality.

Next, I tasted the glossy pot rice. The fluffy texture was special, and the savory and mild taste made my stomach feel full during the meal. There were so many rice thieves that I wondered if I should order more rice.

The braised short ribs were mouthwatering. It was served in a pot full to the brim, so it was enough for everyone to share. The braised short ribs were freshly cooked, and the delicious smell and hot steam made my mouth water.

I picked up a bone with thick meat and the meat fell right off. As soon as I ate it, rich juice burst out from the plump meat, and the soft texture was amazing. It was such a great dish that I exclaimed in delight.

The signature dish is grilled dried pollack. I was amazed by the surprisingly large pollack coated in spicy sauce. Above all, the meat was plump.

I carefully deboned the pollack and ate it with rice. The chewy texture and the deep taste of the sweet and spicy sauce stood out, and it went so well with the rice that I kept eating it endlessly.

The boiled pork slices left a strong impression. The exterior was excellent, as if only the highest quality meat was used. It was great for customers to be able to enjoy such luxurious dishes at reasonable prices.

The boiled pork slices were so fresh that the tender texture of the meat enveloped my tongue as soon as I took a bite, and it melted in my mouth right away. It had been a long time since I had such a well-made boiled pork slices.

It was also amazing to eat it with the chewy and sticky rice. Eating the soft boiled pork slices with the savory rice was a perfect combination of flavors that made it impossible to put down my chopsticks.

Next up was the signature dish, grilled short ribs. The thickness was amazing, and the golden color made it hard to resist just by looking at it. Plus, the portion was so generous that I was worried I'd burst if I ate it all.

I could tell at a glance that the quality of the meat was excellent. This Korean restaurant in Ilsan had such excellent cooking skills that there wasn't a single disappointing dish. That's why I'm 100% sure I'll visit again.

I also put the short ribs on top of rice and ate them deliciously. The sweet and salty sauce was harmonious, and the flavor was properly infused into the meat, making it the best. Thanks to that, I didn't leave a single piece behind.

After tasting these rich and hearty main dishes, I tried the tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties), and I was amazed at how soft it was. The savory and deep taste of the tteokgalbi captivated my taste buds.

It was best to cut it into bite-sized pieces and eat it with rice and side dishes. Overall, the seasoning was so well balanced that the rice went down smoothly even if I ate it alone, and once again, I acknowledged the restaurant's cooking skills.

Because all the food was completely to my taste, I didn't want to leave without finishing everything.

I didn't leave a single drop of the soybean paste stew. The braised short ribs had a clean aftertaste without being too salty, and the short ribs were of a level that couldn't be compared to the meat I had tasted before, probably because they used the highest quality ingredients.

Geogung Ilsan, where I could feel both fullness and satisfaction throughout the meal, showed a specialness that clearly distinguished it from other restaurants, and I didn't regret the money at all.

If you're planning to visit Ilsan with family, friends, or acquaintances, I highly recommend you experience this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
