Fiery Chicken Feet Delight: A Must-Try Spot in Mullae!

Hello, everyone! It's Yoi here! :)
Calling all chicken feet lovers and alcohol enthusiasts! Today, I'm excited to share my review of Burning Kkokobal (닭발) in Mullae, a restaurant famous for its delicious chicken feet.
Burning Kkokobal Mullae Branch is located about a 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Mullae Station. We visited after exploring the Mullae Art Village, and it was easy to find since it's located on a main road!
The sign is bright yellow, making it easy to spot from afar. As you approach the entrance, the subtle scent of charcoal grilling will definitely make your mouth water!
The interior is clean and lively. The tables are spaced adequately, making it comfortable to enjoy drinks with friends or even for a company dinner.
Since the weather was nice, we chose a window seat to enjoy the outside view while we ate. We were there for an early dinner, so it was still bright, but the lighting seemed cozy enough to enjoy a dinner in the evening!
I appreciated the owner's attention to detail. They provided disposable aprons, toothpicks, hair ties, and even mouthwash! Isn't that amazing?
They also offer a promotion for a free candied tomato if you leave a review!
We ordered the set menu for two :)
Our Order:
2-Person Set: Main Dish Small (Boneless Charcoal Grilled Chicken Feet), Clam Soup, Ramen Noodles, Flying Fish Roe Rice Balls
After ordering, side dishes and rice balls are set up first. The side dishes include bean sprout salad and corn, which pair perfectly with the chicken feet.
While waiting, my husband and I enjoyed a cold beer. :)
Making round rice balls while waiting for the chicken feet!
After chatting for a while, the clam soup and chicken feet arrived!
Doesn't it look delicious?! ????????
First of all, the charcoal grilled chicken feet exceeded my expectations. Each piece is grilled directly over charcoal, giving it a subtle smoky flavor that fills your mouth. You can choose the level of spiciness. We are sensitive to spicy food, so we went with mild.
It was moderately spicy and perfect to pair with alcohol! It was also fun to combine it with the bean sprouts and corn.
The clam soup was exceptional. They use fresh clams delivered daily from the Noryangjin Fish Market, so the broth was clean, refreshing, and free of any fishy taste. The clams were large and chewy, making them enjoyable to eat. Most importantly, a spoonful of clam soup after eating the spicy chicken feet perfectly cleanses the palate.
You can't skip carbs to end the meal, right??! ㅎㅎ
Finishing with perfectly cooked ramen noodles was so satisfying.
This unique combination of clam soup and chicken feet is only available at the Mullae branch! That's why I think it's a must-visit spot on the Mullae restaurant list.
Especially if you enjoy drinking, you'll be very satisfied! The fiery spiciness of the chicken feet and the refreshing clam soup create a flavor that makes you want to drink, and before I knew it, my husband and I had a few glasses. It's a great place to grab a casual drink after work, so it's perfect for a gathering with friends.
In summary, if you're looking for a delicious chicken feet restaurant and a great place for drinks in Mullae, I highly recommend trying the charcoal grilled chicken feet and refreshing clam soup combination that you can only find at the Mullae branch! ✨
