While planning our trip to Gangneung, the most important thing for us was to enjoy a great meal together.

Since it was a family trip, we wanted to find a restaurant that satisfied our criteria of atmosphere, taste, and accessibility, and Gangmun Eohwa Sashimi Restaurant perfectly met those requirements.

Located right in front of Gangmun Beach near Gyeongpo Pavilion, we could immediately smell the ocean as soon as we arrived.

The surrounding beach area was perfect for a stroll, enhancing the overall vacation vibe.

One of the reasons we were satisfied with the location of this restaurant was its direct view of the ocean.

As we entered, the entire building was dedicated to the restaurant, giving a sense of spaciousness, and inside, the seating was quite spacious as well.

We were a bit worried about the weekend crowd, but the tables were well-spaced, and the layout could accommodate large groups, making it a comfortable atmosphere for dining with elders.

Sitting by the window allowed us to enjoy the ocean view while eating, which made the sashimi taste even better.

Parking can often be stressful when visiting Gangneung, but Gangmun Eohwa Sashimi Restaurant has a dedicated parking lot right in front, which was very convenient.

The parking space was ample, and the best part was the three hours of free parking, allowing us to explore the area leisurely after our meal.

Just by mentioning our vehicle number, they checked it immediately, which left a great first impression.

Shortly after we sat down, the dishes began to arrive, and the table quickly filled up with a generous spread.

The neatly arranged side dishes clearly showed that this restaurant takes its preparation seriously.

Each item, from the fried dishes to the seafood and various side dishes, was prepared with care, enhancing both flavor and texture.

The atmosphere was already half complete before the sashimi arrived, raising everyone's expectations.

This time, we ordered the Gangmun Eohwa Special, which included a variety of premium fish caught from the East Sea, such as sea bream, wild flounder, rockfish, sole, pufferfish, and mackerel.

The presentation was stunning from the start, and each slice of sashimi was perfectly thick, showcasing its freshness.

Especially, the flounder and sea bream had a sweet taste that intensified as we chewed, and the textures of the pufferfish and mackerel were distinctly different, making it enjoyable to compare the flavors.

My family couldn't help but exclaim, "This place serves real sashimi!"

The flow of the meal, from the side dishes to the main course, was seamless.

With over 30 side dishes served one after another, it felt natural and uninterrupted.

The fried items were crispy, not soggy, and the seafood was fresh without any fishy taste.

The sauces were mild, making it easy for both adults and children to enjoy.

As we enjoyed the main sashimi, mixing in different dishes kept the meal exciting and delicious until the end.

When in Gangneung, one must try the cold sashimi soup, which we did at Gangmun Eohwa Sashimi Restaurant.

It was filled with crunchy vegetables and chewy sashimi, and the mildly spicy and sweet broth was refreshingly light.

After eating sashimi, a spoonful of cold soup felt like a perfect palate cleanser, making it a great way to finish the meal.

Overall, Gangmun Eohwa Sashimi Restaurant was an excellent choice for our family trip.

With no shortcomings in taste, location, parking, or space, the most significant factor was that everyone in the family was satisfied.

After our meal, we strolled along Gangmun Beach right in front, enjoying the view and taking photos, which made our travel itinerary flow seamlessly.

If you're looking for a proper sashimi experience in Gangneung, I highly recommend Gangmun Eohwa Sashimi Restaurant.

It's definitely a place I want to revisit on our next trip to Gangneung.
