Family Outing to Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi in Geoje: A Korean BBQ Delight

It had been a while since our last family outing, so we decided to visit Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi in Geoje, a Korean BBQ place that my kids love. They often have new menu items, so we were excited to see what was new this time.
Even from afar, the clean exterior is eye-catching. Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi is certified as a "Good Franchise," and I recently saw news about them providing rent support, as part of a win-win management strategy during this economic downturn. Anyway, hang in there, small business owners!

Gohyeon Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi has a separate group reservation area on the second floor, making it great for company dinners or family gatherings (available for 20 or more people).
We visited during the early dinner hours and were lucky enough to get a seat near the salad bar! The place filled up quickly.
The interior had warm lighting and spacious, clean tables, making it convenient to use. It's uncomfortable when BBQ tables are too small!
Time to head straight to the salad bar! First, we went to choose our meats.
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi offers a variety of meats including their signature charcoal-grilled marinated pork ribs, Hoolala Pepper flavor, pork ribs (French rack), marinated pork ribs (French rack), sweet bulgogi, spicy bulgogi, pork belly, pork rinds, and charcoal-grilled chicken ribs.
They even had charcoal grilled eel which is great news for eel lovers. Eel is very popular for summer dishes but my family always prefers galbi...
There are tips on how to enjoy the charcoal grilled eel. You can grill it or make a mini eel rice bowl.
Once the meat was ready, I prepared some side dishes to enjoy with it. There were peppers, garlic, rice cakes, perilla leaves, lettuce, shredded onions, ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce), pickled radish, kimchi, corn salad, pickled peppers, scallion salad, and even white kimchi, which is popular with the kids.
They had a variety of sauces, including the popular Vietnamese chili sauce, Chinsu, which was great for foreigners and locals alike!
Of course, we also had to get spaghetti and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), which the kids love. And I couldn't resist the japchae (glass noodles).
I also grabbed some assorted fried foods to go with the tteokbokki! The garlic soy sauce chicken was so good that I went back for more several times.
If you get a craving for ramen while eating meat, you can make it yourself!

We were ready to eat!
While the meat was cooking, we enjoyed the food from the salad bar.
Everyone got what they wanted.
The kids were shouting for galbi (pork ribs), but we started with pork belly first! We also added pork rinds, mushrooms, and rice cakes to the grill.
The thick pork belly looked delicious.
I prefer this kind of pork belly over thinly sliced pork belly. I enjoyed it simply with onions. The fat ratio wasn't too high, so it was savory and delicious.
My second child insists on eating meat with rice. He said the combination of rice, white kimchi, and pork belly was amazing! I'll have to try it too.
We only grilled a few rice cakes at first, but they were so popular that we brought more to grill.
Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside!
Grilling them gently with the meat oil made them even more delicious.
We couldn't forget Myeongnyun Jinsa's pork rinds. The evenly scored cuts made them fun to chew.
Next up was the marinated pork ribs! Since the marinade burns easily, we flipped them frequently.
We cut them into bite-sized pieces and grilled them a bit more.
They're delicious on their own! But you know they're best with white rice, right?
They make an excellent side dish.
I don't know why I get full so quickly. I don't feel like I ate a lot of meat, but I had to have some ice cream for dessert. It was the perfect sweet and refreshing ending.
If you want something even sweeter, you can add strawberry jam! It's pure bliss.
As we were paying, we picked up a fan. It's been so hot lately. I'll try to cool down with this Namkoong Min actor fan.
We parked at Wedding Blanc and received the parking discount.
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi in Geoje allows you to enjoy a variety of meats in one place and has a salad bar filled with food that everyone loves, making it a great place for family dinners. I’m looking forward to what new menu items they come up with next.
