Exploring the Best Black Pork Restaurant in Seogwipo, Jeju

During my visit to the canola flower fields at Sanbangsan, unexpected rain left me a bit disappointed.
To cheer myself up, I decided to grab a delicious meal at a well-known black pork restaurant in Seogwipo, Jeju.
The ambiance, taste, and service were all exceptional, leading to a highly satisfying dining experience.
This restaurant stood out among all the places I visited during my trip, and I found myself wanting to return.
1. Location, Parking, and Size of the Restaurant
Located about 45 minutes from the airport in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, this area is one of my favorite spots to visit.
With various tourist attractions like Sanbangsan, the Grand Canyon of Korea, Yongmeori Coast, and scenic coastal roads, it's easy to plan a fulfilling itinerary.
The black pork specialty restaurant, Sagye, is perfectly situated along this route.
There’s a dedicated parking lot, making it convenient for visitors. The spacious parking area allows even beginner drivers to park with ease.
Upon entering the restaurant, you walk through a beautifully landscaped garden surrounded by tangerine fields and palm trees, creating a delightful atmosphere.
There are also cute animal friends, and feeding them is an option, along with roasting marshmallows. A complimentary item is offered when you write a review.
2. Comfortable and Spacious Interior & Outdoor Seating
The interior of the restaurant is charming, with a cozy atmosphere and clean hygiene standards.
There were no lingering odors typical of meat restaurants, and everything was well-maintained.
Outdoor seating is available, but due to the rain, we opted for indoor seating this time.
The view of Sanbangsan and the palm garden is stunning, and I plan to visit again on a clear day.
3. Menu & Side Dishes
We ordered 600g of Jeju black pork for two, which was a fantastic value during my trip.
The quality of the meat was impressive, with beautiful marbling and exceptional flavor.
The side dishes included fresh kimchi, radish salad, seaweed wraps, bean sprouts, and seasoned green onions, all perfectly complementing the pork.
One highlight was the tangerine kimchi, a unique dish I had never encountered before, with a delightful balance of spicy and refreshing flavors.
4. Thick and Well-Marbled Black Pork
The black pork was grilled to perfection, and the staff expertly handled the cooking.
Each bite was tender and juicy, with a variety of textures that made the meal enjoyable.
Combining the pork with different side dishes elevated the flavors even further, especially with the addition of a savory dipping sauce.
5. Variety of Side Menu
The restaurant also served an incredible kimchi stew, rich in flavor and filled with generous amounts of meat and kimchi.
The steamed egg dish was soft and well-seasoned, perfect for kids.
The cold noodle dish was refreshing and delicious, making for a perfect ending to the meal.
Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with my meal at Sagye Black Pork. Enjoying a delicious meal while exploring the beautiful sights of Jeju is a must for anyone visiting the island.
