Hello!

Recently, my friends decided to visit the Sinjung-dong area, so I looked for a convenient spot near the station.

I ended up visiting 88 Sogobtan, which seemed like a great value restaurant in Sinjung-dong.

Since my friends love gopchang (beef intestines), we checked the menu and atmosphere together.

I was excited to see that we could enjoy fully stuffed gopchang at reasonable prices.

1. Location

88 Sogobtan is located on the main street near the Sinjung-dong clock tower, in the Good Morning Winners building next to Starbucks.

The orange sign is quite noticeable, making it easy to find even on your first visit.

Being close to Sinjung-dong Station also adds to its accessibility.

Today, I want to share my honest review of this satisfying spot near the station, known for its value.

2. Recommended Value Restaurant in Sinjung-dong

As you walk towards the main street near Sinjung-dong Station, you will see the bright red sign of 88 Sogobtan.

The spacious deck area provides a relaxed atmosphere, unlike other crowded spots.

This made it perfect for easy conversation without being too noisy.

3. A Great Atmosphere

The first thing that caught my eye was the wide outdoor area.

Unlike typical crowded eateries, the spacious deck made it much more comfortable.

As the sun set and the lights turned on, the ambiance transformed completely.

The combination of the red awning and lighting created a true pocha (street food) vibe.

It was the perfect mood for enjoying a beer with friends.

4. Pre-Grilled Gopchang

88 Sogobtan offers pre-grilled gopchang, so the waiting time was minimal.

The gopchang comes partially cooked, allowing you to finish grilling it at your table.

This was great because we could eat quickly, even when hungry.

5. Stuffed Gopchang Platter

The highlight here is the charcoal-grilled gopchang, which has a distinct flavor compared to gas grilling.

The smokiness adds to the experience, making the outside crispy and the inside juicy.

The main dish, a gopchang platter, was served with various types, including aged gopchang, makchang, daechang, and yeomtong.

At 14,800 won for 180g, it was a fantastic deal.

The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the combination with chives and kimchi was delightful.

6. Cheesy Stone Pan Fried Rice

To finish, we ordered the stone pan cheese fried rice, which was a treat.

The melted cheese stretched beautifully, making it visually appealing.

The fried rice was delicious, especially the crispy bottom part.

7. Overall Evaluation

The charcoal grilling method and pre-cooked gopchang were significant advantages.

The gopchang was clean and odorless, making it suitable for those new to trying it.

If you're looking for a value restaurant in Sinjung-dong, 88 Sogobtan is definitely worth a visit!
