Doeilcheo: A Taste of Authentic Chinese Cuisine Near Gimpo Airport

Hello!
Today, I'd like to introduce Doeilcheo, a Chinese restaurant that has been located near the entrance of Gimpo Airport since 1966.
Doeilcheo, a well-known restaurant near Songjeong Station in Seoul, is easily accessible, located just a 7-minute walk from Songjeong Station on Subway Line 5.
Parking is available, so you can visit without worrying about it.
Doeilcheo's operating hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM daily.
There is a break time only on weekdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and it is open without a break on weekends. ⏰️
The exterior of the building is grand and imposing, with two floors.
Inside Doeilcheo, near Songjeong Station in Seoul, there are round tables, and the second floor is much larger than the first.
We were guided to the second floor.
The menu at Doeilcheo in Banghwa-dong includes classics like Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup).
They also offer luxurious Chinese dishes such as Dongpayuk (braised pork belly), dim sum, Yangjangpi (cold seafood salad with mustard sauce), sea cucumber dishes, and fish dishes, as well as course meals.
Today's menu: ????
Squid Jjamppong: ₩10,000 *2
Yuni Jajangmyeon: ₩9,000 *2 (Large size +₩2,000)
The basic side dishes include onions and pickled radish (danmuji). ????
Our main dishes arrived shortly after ordering. ????
Squid Jjamppong: ₩10,000 *2
Yuni Jajangmyeon: ₩9,000 *2 (Large size +₩2,000)
Squid Jjamppong ₩10,000!!
The broth was very rich and full of various vegetables. ????
The noodles were chewy and firm.
I was able to eat it deliciously without the noodles getting soggy until the end. ????
The broth was very rich and slightly spicy, so it might be too spicy for those who don't handle spicy food well.
I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but it was deliciously spicy, so I even ordered a bowl of rice to mix with the soup! ????????
The Squid Jjamppong had generous portions of squid, as well as onions, carrots, and other ingredients. ????
Yuni Jajangmyeon ₩9,000
We ordered the large size of Yuni Jajangmyeon for an additional ₩2,000.
Since we ordered the large size, the owner divided the noodles into two bowls for us. ????????
After mixing everything well, I noticed there was a lot of black bean sauce (chunjang) and a generous amount of meat even in the regular Jajangmyeon. ????
The noodles were chewy, and I was able to enjoy the Jajangmyeon without the noodles getting soggy until the end.
If you happen to visit the Banghwa-dong area, I highly recommend giving it a try.
I'm planning to try the course menu on my next visit. ????
Another day of delicious eating! ????
Thank you for the meal.
