Every time I visit Jeju Island, I tend to stick to meat noodles or black pork. This time, I sought a new menu that would allow me to feel more of Jeju's essence.

I discovered Hallasan Grilled Fish Restaurant in Jungmun, famous for its braised hairtail, which features a generous spread of local ingredients.

I enjoyed a hearty meal with beautifully presented dishes!

Located conveniently next to the Jungmun Tourist Complex, it was easy to include in our travel itinerary.

The restaurant has ample parking space right in front, making it convenient for visitors.

The interior is clean and spacious, accommodating families with young children comfortably.

The highlight of the menu is the Hallasan Set, which includes braised and grilled fish along with various side dishes.

We ordered the set for four people, priced at 139,000 won, which seemed perfect for our group size.

The table was quite large, and the traditional Korean meal was lavishly served.

The side dishes, like kimchi and pickled onions, complemented the meal beautifully.

Before diving into the main dishes, we started with a sweet corn salad.

While kimchi is great, I found the tangy pickled onions to be a delightful addition that paired well with the other dishes.

The side dishes are also available at a self-serve bar for easy refills.

The braised hairtail was packed with various seafood, including tender fish fillets, shrimp, octopus, and fresh abalone.

Despite the red seasoning, it was pleasantly spicy, making it enjoyable for everyone.

The rich broth paired perfectly with rice, enhancing the overall flavor.

Instead of regular rice, we had warm rice cooked in a pot topped with abalone, adding to the taste.

The grilled hairtail was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

The staff skillfully prepared the fish for us, making it easy to enjoy.

The grilled fish had a savory flavor without any fishy smell, proving that fresh fish is delicious even on its own.

The thick black pork ribs were juicy and satisfying.

Although we tried various abalone dishes, I preferred the grilled version.

The dombe meat, a type of Jeju-style boiled pork, was tender and free of any unpleasant odors.

Its moist and soft texture made it a hit with the kids.

As a fish specialty restaurant, they also offered fried hairtail, which was surprisingly crispy and complemented the soft fish well.

To finish off, we poured warm water over the rice to make a comforting scorched rice dish.

The Hallasan Grilled Fish Restaurant's set menu is well-structured, perfect for families wanting to enjoy a variety of flavors.

With satisfying food quality and taste, I plan to visit Hallasan again on my next trip to Jeju!
