Discovering the Essence of Barley Rice: A Culinary Gem in Yangsan

I've stumbled upon a truly exceptional restaurant in Yangsan!
It's called 'Chowon House,' and their Barley Rice Hanjeongsik (Korean Table d'hôte) is simply divine. I was amazed by the generous portion of the Barley Rice Set Menu offered as a lunch special.
I visited during lunchtime, and I appreciated that I could order until 3 PM. The variety of side dishes that came with it truly allowed me to experience the charm of Hanjeongsik. In particular, the five-set assortment of seasoned vegetables was presented so elegantly, elevating the dish's quality. It was a truly satisfying experience!
The Barley Rice Hanjeongsik at Chowon House is a true delicacy!
Being able to enjoy it with Korean BBQ short rib made it even more satisfying. There were so many different kinds of side dishes, which made it fun to pick and choose. The Japchae (glass noodles stir-fry) and Spicy Squid Salad were exceptional, and the grilled fish was fresh and delicious.
Eating such a delicious Hanjeongsik filled both my stomach and my heart. The generous portions make it a great place to visit with family. If you come to Tongdosa Temple, be sure to stop by!

I enjoyed a healthy meal at Chowon House. The barley rice wasn't heavy on my stomach, so it was easy to digest and enjoyable.
The taste, which never gets old, is truly recommendable. Mixing it with the soft seasoned vegetables brought a smile to my face!
My favorite dishes were the Susu Bukkumi (Sorghum Pancake) and Yakbap (Sweet Rice). The rich sweetness lingered in my mouth, bringing me joy. You won't regret choosing any menu item here!

I understood why so many families visit. Chowon House is filled with healthy Hanjeongsik options that even the elderly can enjoy without feeling burdened. On the day of my visit, there were customers of various age groups.
Because many older people visit, I definitely wanted to come with my parents. I felt happy seeing all the customers enjoying their meals.

Chowon House is located near Tongdosa Temple, so it would be great to visit after enjoying a delicious meal. After my visit, my friend and I went straight to Tongdosa Temple.
The plum blossoms there were so beautiful! I was able to experience the essence of spring.
The combination of red plum blossoms and light pink plum blossoms was truly beautiful. I experienced a moment that made me feel at peace. Enjoying a great restaurant and beautiful scenery at the same time created a synergistic effect!

Lastly, I appreciated that the waiting area at Chowon House was comfortable and spacious. Reservations are also possible, so making a reservation in advance would make it even more convenient. Sitting on the floor to eat also helped me relax and enjoy the meal at my own pace.
It would have been perfect if I could have had dinner in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying the charm of Hanjeongsik! I highly recommend this restaurant.
