Even while traveling in Jeju, you don't have to give up on dining in style. I'm excited to introduce you to some of Seogwipo's best local restaurants.
I discovered these gems while planning my trip to the southern part of the island. These restaurants use fresh, local Jeju ingredients, making the trip all the more worthwhile.
Many locals visit these restaurants for dates or special gatherings, so I had high expectations.
1. Mrs. Dudley Steak House

The taste and generous portions made this restaurant a great value.
The plating was so beautiful that I couldn't resist taking pictures first.
Although located in an alley, the large sign made it easy to find.
The building itself has a clean, modern feel, making it perfect for a date.
There was plenty of parking right next to the restaurant, so parking wasn't a problem.
Seeing many Jeju license plates, I knew it was a popular spot with locals.
As soon as I stepped inside, the antique interior caught my eye.
The display case held a variety of wines. I was confident that I could enjoy properly stored wine.
The interior of this Seogwipo restaurant was decorated in wood tones, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere.
The tables were spacious and well-spaced, making for a comfortable dining experience.
The menu featured a diverse selection of dishes made with Jeju ingredients.
There were so many choices that it was fun to choose. Since there were several of us, we decided to try a variety of dishes.
There was a review event notice on the table. The QR code made it easy to participate.
Even the pre-meal bread was delicious.
It was moist, savory, and soft, making it the perfect appetizer.
First, we started with the house salad.
The sweetness of the fruit and the tanginess of the balsamic dressing blended harmoniously.
The salad with fresh vegetables and boiled eggs was well-balanced.
It was the perfect way to start the meal.
The first main dish to arrive was the black pork collar steak.
It was beautifully plated with a variety of colorful ingredients.
The combination of french fries and salad made it even more delicious.
The plating added to the luxurious feel.
The steak was cooked evenly and was very tender.
The subtly sweet sauce was a perfect match for the meat.
The staff cooked the tenderloin steak to our preferred doneness and even marked it with cute wooden sticks.
I was impressed by their attention to detail.
The juicy texture of the tenderloin was visible to the naked eye.
The thick cut and moist surface made it even more appetizing.
The plate was served with carrot puree made from carrots grown in Gujwa.
The subtle sweetness of the vegetable puree and the juices of the meat created a deep flavor.
For a slightly spicy flavor, I added wasabi, and I couldn't stop eating it.
We ordered a bottle of red wine to enjoy the atmosphere.
The staff recommended a wine that paired well with the food, which was very helpful.
We ordered the mantis shrimp cream pasta to share.
The aroma of the cheese powder was mouthwatering.
The pasta was topped with plump mantis shrimp.
The cream sauce was quite thick, making it feel heavy when lifted with a fork.
One bite filled my mouth with rich flavor and a satisfying feeling.
The last dish to arrive was the Jeju black pork BBQ.
The presentation, which resembled bossam (boiled pork slices), was familiar yet special.
The staff mentioned that it was smoked with tangerine tree chips, and I could smell the subtle aroma as I got closer.
The Jeju-style aroma was unique and appealing.
I tried a bite with the scallions and whole garlic that were served with it.
The three ingredients combined to create a savory flavor.
The quality and price were excellent, making me want to come back to this Seogwipo restaurant.
