Discovering a Michelin-Recommended Gem at Hyundai City Outlet Dongdaemun

Today, I want to introduce a fantastic restaurant I stumbled upon while shopping at Hyundai City Outlet in Dongdaemun.
It's Gwanghwamun Mijin, located in Hyundai City Outlet Dongdaemun branch.
This place has been selected for the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand for 7 consecutive years… My expectations soared!

The main branch is in Jongno and is incredibly famous! Apparently, it's a well-known restaurant that most Seoulites have heard of.
Each table has a tablet for ordering, which made the process super convenient! 👌👌👌👌

Considering it's a Michelin-recommended restaurant, the price is quite reasonable, right? 🤔 Plus, when you order the set, you get a generous serving of spicy octopus rice, buckwheat noodles (soba), buckwheat crepes, salad, and side dishes. Quite a good deal! 👍👍👍👍

Overall composition of the meal.
The buckwheat noodles were chewy and refreshing, just like the signature menu item at Gwanghwamun Mijin. The broth was clean and flavorful! Eating it alternately with the spicy octopus stir-fry, I understood why it's a set menu. 👌👌👌👌👌 Apparently, the main branch mainly sells cold buckwheat noodles without octopus.
The buckwheat crepes were chewy on the outside and filled with kimchi on the inside, making them savory and nutty with every bite. The subtle aroma of buckwheat spread gently, and eating it with the crepes made it quite filling.
The spicy octopus stir-fry was a delightful combination of spicy and sweet flavors coating the chewy octopus. ❤️🔥 It felt like my taste buds were instantly awakened after just one bite! Haha. I just randomly chose this restaurant because I wasn't craving anything specific that day, but it completely revived my appetite!
What happens when you put the spicy octopus stir-fry on top of white rice?
Halfway through eating, I added bean sprouts, seaweed flakes, and spicy octopus stir-fry and quickly made bibimbap (mixed rice). I devoured it all! Ke Ke.

After finishing our meal, we explored DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza). They were having a media art exhibition called Seoul Light.
