Delicious Kalguksu Experience in Jecheon

During my trip to Jecheon with friends, we stopped by a delightful restaurant near Uirimji Lake and enjoyed a delicious meal. The restaurant's location right in front of Uirimji made it perfect for a leisurely walk after eating.
This place offered a spacious and comfortable environment where we could savor deep-flavored kalguksu (handmade knife-cut noodles). It was an excellent choice for a hearty and tasty lunch while traveling with friends.
What I loved about this place was the handmade kalguksu noodles paired with mushrooms in a refreshing broth. Its proximity to Uirimji made it easy to stroll around after our meal.
Not only was the kalguksu delicious, but the seafood pancake was also fantastic. Everything was enjoyable without any shortcomings. The restaurant we visited was called Uirim Kalguksu, and I'll provide more details about it now.

The location is very close to the famous Uirimji Lake, making it convenient for planning your travel route. It's an ideal spot to visit before or after exploring the lake.
Parking is ample, with spacious private parking available both in front and behind the restaurant, ensuring even novice drivers can park with ease. This made for a pleasant start to our visit.
The exterior of the restaurant is clean and modern, making a strong impression from afar. The combination of a cozy kalguksu house vibe with a contemporary touch heightened our expectations for the interior.
Upon entering, the restaurant was even more spacious than expected, with an open layout that provided a great sense of freedom. The tables were arranged comfortably, allowing us to enjoy our meals and conversations without interruptions. Overall, the cleanliness and hygiene of the place were reassuring, and I was very pleased with the interior design.
For side dishes, there's a self-service bar where you can refill as needed. Being a kalguksu specialty restaurant, they make fresh kimchi daily, which pairs perfectly with the noodles.
The ordering process is convenient through a tablet, and just seeing the pictures made my mouth water. We started with dumpling kalguksu, adding shrimp seafood pancake, king dumpling, and some local makgeolli.
The dumplings and kalguksu, filled with mushrooms and various vegetables, looked abundant. The dish is prepared at the table, and the rich broth was full of deep, refreshing flavors. The noodles were chewy and perfectly absorbed the broth, making every bite enjoyable. Paired with the spicy and crunchy kimchi, it was a delightful combination that had us all raving.
The crispy king dumplings were also a treat. Biting into a well-stuffed dumpling released a burst of juicy flavor combined with the crispy skin, making it incredibly delicious.
The shrimp seafood pancake was a perfect match with the makgeolli. The combination of the crispy pancake and the drink was simply superb.
The kalguksu and dumplings were so satisfying that I couldn't stop eating. The flavors reminded me of home cooking, making it a great place for family meals or outings with kids due to its mild and tender taste.
Finally, we made a porridge with the leftover broth, which was plentiful and tasty. With a great atmosphere, generous portions, and delicious food, Uirim Kalguksu is definitely a must-visit spot in Jecheon.
After our satisfying meal, we took a stroll around Uirimji Lake and Yongchu Waterfall, making it a perfect combination with our visit to Uirim Kalguksu.
