Delicious Dakgalbi and Special Cuts at Yatap Station

We decided to go out for a family meal on the weekend after relaxing at home. I remembered a dakgalbi restaurant I had wanted to try, so we went there. The atmosphere and food quality were impressive, making it a memorable dining experience in Yatap.
1. Location and Opening Hours
The restaurant, Jukwang Sanghoe Dakgalbi, is conveniently located about a 5-minute drive from the Yatap 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center. It was easy to find, making our visit stress-free.
Parking is available in the building, which is great for family visits. This aspect certainly added to the convenience of dining at this Yatap restaurant.
Upon looking at the menu, I noticed they offered a variety of options, including not just chicken special cuts but also beef and frozen pork belly.
As we entered the restaurant, the interior was spacious and comfortable. The partitioned areas allowed for private dining, and the windows opened on nice days, enhancing the overall ambiance.
We settled in and ordered a set meal, which I appreciated for its variety, allowing us to taste several dishes at once.
2. Variety of Grilled Chicken
After a short wait, our table was filled with food, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. The value for money made it a great choice for a family meal.
The side dish of diced radish was crunchy and refreshing, whetting our appetites. We also enjoyed the sweet and tender japchae, which was hard to resist.
3. Spicy Stir-Fried Squid
The stir-fried squid looked delicious right from the start. The spicy seasoning complemented the dish perfectly, balancing the richness, and the chewy texture was satisfying.
4. Unique Chicken Feet Slices
This was my first time trying chicken feet slices, and I found them surprisingly easy to eat. Pairing them with vegetables added a nice variety to the texture and flavor.
5. Fresh Chicken Special Cuts
We then started grilling the chicken special cuts on the grill. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy, offering deep flavor. The neck meat was chewy and had a nutty taste, while the breast cartilage provided a fun crunch. Overall, the clean taste without any gamey odor was delightful.
The main dish, dakgalbi, released an enticing aroma as it cooked on the grill. The seasoning was rich, enhancing the umami flavor, and the tender meat provided a satisfying chew. The juiciness of the chicken ensured it was moist and not dry, which was particularly satisfying.
6. Overall Impression
Overall, the combination of quality, taste, and atmosphere made this Yatap restaurant an excellent choice for family dining. I left with a desire to return in the future.
