Delicious Breakfast at Seongsan Mackerel Wraps

During my trip to Jeju, I usually start my day with breakfast before heading out for sightseeing.
However, it can be surprisingly difficult to find a place that offers a hearty and clean meal.
I wanted to try local Jeju cuisine, and thanks to a strong recommendation from a local friend,
I discovered a great breakfast spot in Seongsan.
The flavors were authentic, and the combination of mackerel wraps and braised hairtail was exceptional.
The restaurant, Seongsan Mackerel Wraps and Kimchi Stew, is conveniently located near Seongsan Ilchulbong.
Its modern exterior and spacious interior meant we didn’t have to wait long for a table.
The restaurant is situated at 122-5, Seobji Koji-ro 25-gil, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju.
We quickly entered and were greeted by a comfortable and pleasant interior.
The spacious layout was perfect for group visits, allowing for a relaxed dining experience.
As we settled in and looked over the menu, we were pleased to see a variety of hearty and satisfying options.
All the dishes were reasonably priced, so we decided to order some grilled items and a soup.
The side dishes came out first, including kimchi and various seasoned vegetables.
The marinated crab was particularly delicious, with its sweet and savory flavor.
When the main dishes arrived, we were impressed by the generous portions and the freshness of the ingredients.
I eagerly reached for the mackerel wrap first, and the spicy-sweet sauce was fantastic.
The kimchi added a crunchy texture, enhancing the overall refreshing taste.
The mackerel was succulent and absorbed the seasoning perfectly, melting in my mouth.
The combination of fresh lettuce wraps with the flavorful mackerel was a hit.
We also enjoyed the braised hairtail, which was tender and moist, making it impossible not to love.
The seasoning was just right, with a delightful balance of spiciness and sweetness.
Mixing the braised fish with rice created a perfect dish that was both clean and flavorful.
Next came the grilled mackerel, perfectly cooked and incredibly tender.
It had no fishy taste, and the meat was so rich that it was enjoyable on its own.
We also tried the grilled red tilefish, which was deliciously chewy and different from the mackerel.
It was soft enough to melt in your mouth, providing a delightful experience.
The seasoning was perfect, making it a great companion for rice.
The sea urchin seaweed soup was another standout, with a unique flavor from the sea urchin roe.
The refreshing taste of the ocean was evident with every bite.
We also enjoyed a hot pot filled with abalone, which was tender and perfect for children.
The soup was so good that we couldn’t stop reaching for more.
With a variety of seafood, this restaurant truly represents the flavors of Jeju.
The menu is suitable for all ages, making it a must-visit for anyone traveling to Seongsan.
