Delicious Abalone Noodle Soup Near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

During my trip to Jeju Island, I stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant near Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) while searching for a lunch spot. It's easy to park in front of the restaurant, and the constant stream of customers from morning on gave me a definite feeling that this place was the real deal.
I ordered the abalone noodle soup (Bomal Kalguksu), and the broth alone was a winner. The rich, deep abalone flavor combined with the savory seafood essence was so comforting, I felt instantly refreshed after just one spoonful. The noodles were handmade, chewy and soft, making every bite enjoyable to the very end. It's clear why this place is known as a Seongsan 맛집 (delicious restaurant)!
I visited with my parents, and they loved it too, because it wasn't overly salty. The side dishes were available at a self-serve corner, so we could take as much as we wanted. I appreciated how carefully and neatly everything was prepared.
Besides the Kalguksu, they also had abalone porridge (Bomal Juk), spicy noodles (Bibim Guksu), and mixed rice (Bibimbap). The next table's dishes looked amazing and the spices looked savory and delicious. I'm definitely planning on trying those next time! It's rare to find a place this satisfying and delicious in the middle of a trip, so I immediately saved it to my list of must-try restaurants in Seongsan.
This spot is perfect to visit either before or after seeing Seongsan Ilchulbong, so I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the Seogwipo area.
