Craving Korean Food with Drinks? "Daehanminguk" in Apgujeong Rodeo is the Place!

No More Greasy Bar Snacks! I'm a Korean Food Fanatic!
Apgujeong Rodeo Korean Restaurant 'Daehanminguk' Review - Starting Honestly, as a Resident!
Daehanminguk (대한민국 - meaning Republic of Korea)
Address: 14, Seolleung-ro 155-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, 104
The Korean Flag at the Entrance...
This place is so satisfying; it fills you with patriotism...
270m from Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 5!
We wanted to chat over drinks on a rainy day,
but we both dislike greasy food and were looking for a Korean-style food stall. That's how we found Daehanminguk!
Personally, I loved the name and concept so much...
The restaurant's name is simply 'Daehanminguk' without any fancy decorations.
It was raining, and we went by subway,
so accessibility was crucial. After coming out of Exit 5, one quick look at the map,
and I knew right away!
Most of all, the Korean flag at the entrance caught my eye, so I found it right away! Before going in, I checked my appearance in the mirror and took a mirror selfie~
Here is the front view of the entrance!
We didn't decide what to eat beforehand, but there was a menu at the entrance,
so we decided what to eat before even sitting down, lol.
Instead of grand dishes, we just wanted something simple like grilled fish and Jjapagetti (black bean sauce ramen with an egg),
Originally, we were going to have drinks at a friend's place,
But this place sells both of those dishes!
I had a huge smile on my face before even going in, lol.
If you grill fish at home, the smell doesn't go away easily, so my friend doesn't invite me over...
The inside of the restaurant is really cozy!
It was raining a lot that day, and we visited a bit early, so there weren't many people,
But I heard it gets very crowded on Fridays and Saturdays or if you go a little later.
The owners were two men,
and the interior had so many cute details, lol.
Most of all, they were so kind when we entered, which made me feel good.
Since the name is Daehanminguk (Republic of Korea),
there were Korean flags everywhere!!!!
I love this... My patriotism is burning! I'm already anticipating how good the Korean food will be just by looking at the interior, lol.
The basic side dish that came out as soon as we sat down!
I used to buy this in front of the school when I was an elementary school student.
I haven't seen it in so long. I didn't even know they still sold it, lol.
And if a restaurant serves barley tea or some other type of tea instead of just plain water,
I drink a whole pitcher of it (and mentally designate it as a great restaurant).
Ah, they serve tea in a kettle.
Okay, this place already passes the test.
There were so many things to look at in the interior,
so we ordered while looking around! Usually bars do not sell kimchi...lol
I mean, restaurants that sell kalguksu (noodle soup) sells kimchi because customers ask them to sell it because it is so good
I expected that this kimchi is so delicious!!!!
We ordered grilled mackerel, Jjagaechchi (Jjapagetti with cheese and an egg), and a highball through the kiosk!
The Jjagaechchi came out as soon as we ordered it!!!
I love that they sprinkled chili powder and green onion on the Jjagaechchi.
It looked so good before eating it, so I took pictures and showed off to my friends, lol.
I used to think that PC bang (internet cafe) Jjagaechchi was the best,
because every Jjagaechchi is the same.
It was different. It was like a dish.
And most of all, the kimchi was crazy.
I know why they sell it.
I took the subway and walked through the rain to drink. I also had a lot of luggage.
I would have bought the kimchi if I had a free hand!!!!
I ate Jjapagetti, kimchi, egg, and cheese
I had to set it up because I had to eat it in one bite.
I have a habit of putting rice or noodles on a spoon before eating it.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I was wondering about the Jjagaechchi recipe here. I can't imitate it at home.
I feel like I can't get this taste..??
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The conclusion is that I ate it all up in 3 minutes after ordering.
We talked happily while eating ramen at the bar like a PC bang.
Our goal was to find a cozy Korean bar.
Our future spot is here.
And good thing here!!!
The bathroom is inside. . . I hate when I have to go to the bathroom outside.
It is so annoying when I have to take the key and go to that direction
I hated that
Even it was raining on this day.
But I was so happy that it was inside.
The second dish was grilled mackerel!
I don't order grilled mackerel often because it has a lot of bones,
But I wanted to order something light instead of greasy menu because I came to a Korean bar.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ First of all, I like that they gave me wasabi and lemon, and they also gave me soy sauce separately!
I was happy because there was a lot of meat...
And most of all, it wasn't fishy at all, lol.
I ordered a highball, which goes well with Jjagaechchi and grilled mackerel.
The highball gets rid of the greasy and fishy taste.
It is a great combination
I will revisit here. ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ
And I liked that there weren't many bones in the grilled mackerel!!
I hope the types of grilled fish increase. ㅜㅜ
I was impressed with Daehanminguk
because there are not many places to sell grilled fish
Overall
.
.
.
If you are looking for Apgujeong Rodeo restaurant
I recommend Daehanminguk without hesitation!
Most of all, I liked that the grilled fish wasn't fishy...
The atmosphere here is perfect for company dinners or friend gatherings.
I will revisit again.
