Hi~ I'm a food-loving pet influencer, Dalnara Dongsuk's house! ٩(ꇐ‿ꇐ)۶

During my vacation lunch break, I wanted to enjoy delicious sashimi at leisure for the first time in a while. It was a rainy day, though.

I visited Sokcho Fish Market's Chunggyesan branch, which had really good reviews among Chunggyesan sashimi restaurants.

It was a humid and sticky day, so the inside needed to be cool. They had the air conditioning blasting, so I felt good from the start.

The Sokcho Fish Market Chunggyesan branch sign is clear, right? It was easy to find because I could recognize it right away.

It's right next to the GS Caltex gas station, so it's easy to find, and it was very convenient to get to by car.

Accessibility is the first thing I look at when looking for a sashimi restaurant in Chunggyesan, and the parking lot here was so big, which was great. There's plenty of parking space next to the entrance and behind the store.

The parking lot was really big, so it wasn't a problem even with a large car.

Because it had floor-to-ceiling windows, it felt spacious and cool. There were already people having gatherings. It's popular as a meeting place. They have 300 seats available for groups.

It was fun to see the autographs of celebrities at the counter.

When I went inside, the pleasant air conditioning and bright lighting, and the neat table setting immediately caught my eye. Above all, the store is huge! The saying that they have 300 group seats was no exaggeration.

I decided to have a quiet meal by the window. I visited around 12 noon. It's nice that it's a little early. The table spacing was wide and the view was clear, which was nice.

After I sat down, the staff came right away and responded, and they were so kind that I felt even better.

The menu was also diverse. I usually order seasonal assorted sashimi.

Sokcho Fish Market Menu:

✅ Set Menu (Sashimi + Seafood)

Flounder Seafood Set:

Large 53,000 won / Small 45,000 won

Rockfish Seafood Set:

Large 55,000 won / Small 45,000 won

Red Sea Bream Seafood Set:

Large 65,000 won / Small 55,000 won

Flatfish Seafood Set:

Large 60,000 won / Small 50,000 won

✅ Recommendation: When visiting with 2-3 people, the set menu + noodle add-on was the most satisfying.

✅ Fresh Sashimi A la carte/Assorted

Flounder Sashimi

Small 19,000 won / Medium 33,000 won / Large 44,000 won

Rockfish Sashimi

Small 19,000 won / Medium 33,000 won / Large 44,000 won

Flatfish Sashimi

Medium 32,000 won / Large 42,000 won

Red Sea Bream Sashimi 45,000 won

✅ Mulhoe (Spicy Raw Fish Soup)

Mulhoe (boneless) for 1 person 18,000 won

Pohang Mulhoe (2-3 people) 35,000 won

Assorted Mulhoe (2-3 people) 45,000 won

⭐ Special Set

Webfoot octopus + 3 kinds of fresh sashimi + assorted seafood + fried food: 85,000 won

✅ A composition that can solve menu concerns at once when visiting with family.

Today, I'm going to eat flounder sashimi according to Chef Yoon Nam-no's delicious eating method, so I decided on flounder sashimi and mulhoe.

The price is good and the menu description is well done. The basic side dishes are also neatly presented: kimchi, seaweed soup, salad.

The flounder sashimi finally came out, and the visuals were so amazing that I wondered if it was real.

The transparency and neatness of the flounder sashimi could be felt with my eyes.

The sashimi wasn't too thin or too thick, but just the right thickness.

If you wrap a piece of sashimi with vegetables and eat it, it melts in your mouth.

Can you see the glossy flesh? It was the freshness itself.

I ate it in Yoon Nam-no style, which is delicious enough without red pepper paste.

The mulhoe I ordered with the sashimi was better than expected. There was plenty of sashimi, and the soup tasted so cool.

Spicy, sour, and cool mulhoe is the best thing on a hot day.

A lunch table where I enjoyed both flounder sashimi and mulhoe.

A shot of mulhoe filled with vegetables, sashimi, and noodles.

The seasoning wasn't too strong, so it brought out the original taste of the sashimi. And what surprised me was that each side dish was also very fresh.

The basic side dishes are plentiful, including pickled myungyi leaves, garlic, seasoning sauce, and corn.

The lettuce was fresh, and the perilla leaves had a subtle scent.

The rich soup warmed me to the core.

There was one more interesting thing here. A self-service egg fry and ramen cooking! It was fun to make it myself, so I thought it would be so much fun to come with kids or friends.

It was also fun to make the fried eggs myself.

You can also cook ramen on the table, so it feels a bit like camping?

The spicy soup goes well with the sashimi.

And... for those who like day drinking, this is the perfect place. They gave me a glass of draft beer as a service, and a glass of cool beer in this weather was really heaven.

A glass of draft beer, it couldn't be better.

Throughout the meal, the staff's response was so kind, and the owner was also walking around and responding to customers himself. As I looked at the exterior again while leaving, I definitely thought I would come again next time.

I feel like I want to eat it again every time I see it!

✔️ 3-line review

If you want to eat fresh sashimi in Chunggyesan, this is the answer.

Wide parking, pet-friendly, and perfect service.

Satisfied with both flounder sashimi and mulhoe, perfect for enjoying a day drink.
