Choma: Delicious Jjampong at Starfield Hanam
Hi hello!
Went grocery shopping and grabbed a meal while I was at it because I was hungry.
I hesitated when I saw the wait, but I missed the taste so much that I ended up waiting in line!
Choma, a famous jjampong restaurant in Starfield Hanam.
The original location was in Hongdae, but now the Starfield Goyang branch is said to be the main store.
While waiting, the staff took our order in advance.
We ordered:
* Jjajangmyeon (Black Bean Noodles)
* Jjampong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup)
* Tangsuyuk (Sweet and Sour Pork)
Order complete!
(Secretly added a bowl of rice)
The tangsuyuk was fried in a rustic style.
The clear tangsuyuk sauce was unique.
True to its reputation as a tangsuyuk 맛집 (delicious restaurant) in Starfield Hanam,
it was delicious even without the sauce.
Immediately following, the jjajangmyeon and jjampong arrived.
The jjajangmyeon was a ganjjajang (sauce served separately), which was excellent.
Looking at other tables,
they had a white jjampong (baekjjampong).
It looked like Nagasaki jjampong.
I'm definitely trying that next time.
The jjampong was spicy and refreshing,
and the jjajangmyeon was savory and deliciously oily!
Definitely a jjampong 맛집 (delicious restaurant) in Hanam.
They added a self-service bar that wasn't there last time.
It had onions, chunjang (black bean paste), danmuji (pickled radish), plates, scissors, etc.
I went all out and finished the tangsuyuk, and mixed rice into the jjampong and finished that too.

If you go right before or after meal times,
the wait is bearable if you time it well.
Otherwise, you should go right when they open.
But it's so delicious!
Perfect to eat while you're grocery shopping!
