Welcome to Yoni's blog! Today, I visited a newly opened makchang (pork intestine) restaurant in Seokdong, Jinhae. It was so delicious that I was genuinely surprised!
Cho Yeon Makchang, a new restaurant in Jinhae, is located on the first floor at 22, Dongjin-ro 61beon-gil, Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.
I visited with a friend, and we were both satisfied with everything from the makchang to the side dishes and the atmosphere.
They had a fun Post-it event where you can grab a Post-it with a prize on it until the supplies last.
Details like this are what make me want to visit this Jinhae makchang restaurant again.

Table Setting

One of the charms of Cho Yeon Makchang is its diverse range of side dishes. From seasoned green onion salad and corn cheese to acorn jelly, spicy peppers, garlic, sauces, and steamed egg – each side dish was fresh and perfect to enjoy with the meat.
The staff proactively offered refills, which made it even more pleasant to start the meal.
Makchang (2 servings)
Spicy Makchang (1 serving)

Cho Yeon Makchang's makchang has a subtle charcoal scent and is chewy and savory. The quality was really great and it tasted clean without any unpleasant smells and i could enjoy it to the last bite.
The spicy makchang seems to be a special menu item unique to this restaurant. If you like spicy food, definitely try it! The spicy sauce was so delicious. It might be too spicy for those who don't handle spice well. For me, it was a bit spicier than Buldak Ramen.

They filled the grill with sides that go well with makchang, including bean sprouts, garlic, shishito peppers, and seasoned chives. Especially the shishito peppers ㅠㅠㅠ they are really good.
Makchang is meant to be wrapped in lettuce!
It's super delicious when you wrap it with various vegetables.
The spicy makchang went well in lettuce wraps, and the chewy and savory makchang was best when dipped in the makchang sauce.
Mul Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles)
There was a wide selection of meal options, so there was plenty to choose from. We ordered Mul Naengmyeon (cold noodles) without hesitation.
This place is a cold noodle 맛집!
The noodles were cooked to the perfect texture, and the broth was as good as a cold noodle specialty restaurant.
Cho Yeon Makchang was a satisfying makchang restaurant in Jinhae that excelled in taste, price, and service. I would especially recommend it for company dinners or family gatherings. If you're looking for a makchang restaurant with good value for money in Jinhae, be sure to visit Cho Yeon Makchang. The cold noodles for dessert were perfect! Ending the meal like this made for a satisfying meal.
