Gwangalli Samgyeopsal Restaurant Recommendation
Busan Seonok is a popular samgyeopsal restaurant conveniently located in an alley, just a 3-minute walk from Gwangalli Beach.
Busan Seonok specializes in black pork, offering delicious options like Ogyeopsal (pork belly with skin), Hangjeongsal (pork jowl), and Gabrisal (pork skirt meat).
Jirisan Fresh Meat!
I visited around 9 PM on a Saturday night without a reservation and had to wait behind one team. I didn't expect a wait so late, but this place is definitely hot!
There are chairs near the entrance where you can comfortably wait while enjoying the air conditioning and watching the fish in the aquarium.
They used to sell noodles as a side dish, but it has been replaced with cold noodles (naengmyeon), which is even better!
You can get a free beef tartare (yukhoe) by writing a review on Naver receipts. How generous!
After ordering, I familiarized myself with the restaurant information while waiting for the meat.
After about 10 minutes, the table was filled with dishes.
The table is about to break!
Our Order:
Half order of Ogyeopsal: ₩24,000
One serving of Hangjeongsal: ₩13,000
Doenjang Jjigae (soybean paste stew): ₩6,000
Mul Naengmyeon (cold noodles in chilled broth): ₩6,500
Soju: ₩5,000
Beer: ₩5,000
We started with a Somaek (soju and beer mix) to cool down on a hot summer night.
The meat is sliced in the open kitchen near the entrance immediately after you order. The thickness and color are works of art!
They also provide potatoes, shishito peppers, shiitake mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes to grill with the meat.
Fresh쌈 vegetables: sesame leaves, banga leaves, lettuce, and chili peppers.
I was blown away by the meticulously prepared side dishes.
Green onion salad, pickled vegetables, 3 types of kimchi, 3 types of seasoned greens, radish salad, seaweed salad, marinated crab, pollack roe, garlic, ssamjang (soybean dipping sauce), wasabi... so much!
A pork restaurant that serves marinated crab?
The kimchi and seasoned greens are so delicious! It's like a famous Korean set menu restaurant.
First, we put the Ogyeopsal on the grill.
The perfect combination of fat, lard, and skin.
Grill it to perfection!
The combination of wasabi, sesame leaf salad, and mustard leaf kimchi is excellent.
Dipping it in the heated Mel젓 (anchovy sauce) on the grill is heavenly!
Ogyeopsal + Meljeot + hot pepper combination was the best.
It wasn't enough to eat only Ogyeopsal, so I also ate Hangjeongsal.
The chewy texture is amazing!
It reaches the pinnacle of savory flavor.
Unlike the MSG-heavy Doenjang Jjigae you find in most pork restaurants, this is a real country-style Doenjang Jjigae.
It's so deep and savory. You must order the Doenjang Jjigae.
How delicious is it to mix it with rice?! The rice is also packed tightly with care and abundance.
Finally, we finished with refreshing Mul Naengmyeon!
The ice-cold broth washes away the oiliness in your throat.
Overall:
If you are looking for a high-quality and refined pork restaurant near Gwangalli Beach, I highly recommend it!
The neat side dishes, high-quality pork, and authentic Doenjang Jjigae are excellent.
